Harlan

Harlan's first assignment in the field as an Embassy guard has, so far, not at all been what he expected. He makes a habit of not paying much attention to things outside his sphere of command, but he gets the distinct sense that this issue was haphazardly handled- when they received news of the situation in Sylvain, Harlan was assigned to guard two of the youngest ambassadors available, and they were hurriedly sent off to attempt to offer stability in the midst of a diplomatic disaster. Not the best damage control, from where Harlan sits.

Despite his initial misgivings about the whole scenario, Harlan has become inexplicably fond- or, at the very least, tolerant of- Beryl and Paccia, the two diplomats who have become his impromptu traveling partners. Though he still feels distinctly unprepared for what awaits them in the subterranean nation of Sylvain, the young guard is determined to see his task through and represent the Embassy well.
