Rufus is a flirty fella, who always tries to make his female patients as comfy as possible. And even with male and nonbinary patients, he acts really friendly, like a good bro. The problem is, thanks to his many jokes/flirting, he sometimes forgets his duties and following meetings, so his boss Betty has to drag him to those duties. Mostly, she pulls him on the ear and drags him along the whole hospital to his duties while smiling softly. And he hates being dragged on his ears.

But when things get serious, Rufus gets super silent and concentrated. He is terribly scared of messing up and is a complete perfectionist, when things get really serious. He doesn't want to imagine how he would feel, when one of his patients would die. Even rude patients, he would mourn. He still is super friendly and gently towards them, even if they insult him and spit in his face. He only knows rage when someone does something horrific to his friends.

Current Situation

Rufus is currently one of the assistants of Betty, one of the leading doctors of cardiology. He serves for a long time for the hospital "Zombieyard" and has a quite good reputation. He is popular with female workers, and Betty has to drag him often away from meetings, where he flirts with them instead of doing work. However, some male workers don't like him that much.

Despite having the reputation of being lazy, he learned from his past mistakes and does as many duties as possible, helping as much as he can. He is an expert of various venoms which are able to attack the heart as well as bloodpressure.

Creation

For my story Zombieyard, I really wanted a skeleton. Or a vampire. Or anything else supernatural, which I could use for my story as a nurse or a doctor. And so, I decided to go to some art games and ask for something supernatural for my story "Zombieyard."

And so, CozyiestForestz sat down and made a really, really nice design. In fact, they even had the idea of combining a vampire and a skeleton together. So, I came up with the idea of adding a new species into the mix: Bonedry Vampires.

Undead Heartbeat

Has a heartbeat, which he can stop and start at his will. Is undead and doesn't need a heartbeat, but it strengthens his powers.

Vampiresoul

Has some vampire skills like teleportation, telepathic powers, drinking blood and getting stronger from it as well as turning into a bonebat.

Bonedry touch

Has skeleton arms and hands, which can break (He then glues them back together). Thanks to this, he is much more talented when it comes to flair.

Dancing King

Whenever he hears music through his headphones, he can't help but dance. This leads to some comedic situations.

Snake Tongue

Can taste sounds with his tongue. For example, screams taste like blood.

Snake Body

Is super moveable, does a lot of Yoga.

Backstory

A long time ago, Rufus was a handsome young man, who worked as a bartender. He heard a lot of stories, especially of one doctor, who told him a lot about heartsick patients. Those patients often died on their deseases, making the doctor pretty sad. Rufus often comforted his friend. And promised him to meet his patients again. He didn't know how. But he wanted to meet them again and tell them how much the doctor mourns them. Who would knew this promise would come true?

One night, Rufus wanted to close the bar for the morning, a strange creature came in. He asked them, what drink they want, before feeling its fangs in his neck. He dropped down and awake again, undead and as a bonedry vampire. He quickly adapted to his new looks and powers, in fact, he really liked them. What he didn't like was that he couldn't continue his bartender job. Thanks to his new looks, he was thrown out, labeled as a "monster". He searched for a new job, until he found an ad for Zombieyard. He had no doctor knowledge whatsoever, but decided to take the job. For this, he faked his application. And he got in. When Betty saw the newbie, she immediately knew: This guy lied completely about his resume. Nonetheless, she teached him everything she knew. They often had joke arguments, but Rufus became more and more like a doctor and treats his patients well, even thou he still flirts with them-

Species Lore

Bonedry vampires are a mix between vampires and skeletons. They often have gray skin and some parts of their body are visible skeleton parts. They have, just like vampires, skills like drinking blood or transforming into bats. However, they can also have skills like skeletons, for example, dust bending or a certain flair. They don't need blood or a heartbeat to stay active, however, if they use those two skills, they can become stronger.

Rufus is a bonedry vampire with visible arm and hand bones as well as a visible ripcage, which he hides behind his clothing. HE knows more vampire skills then skeleton skills thou.
