People don't really talk about Nox too much, given his standoffish behavior and mysterious lifestyle. Passersby, usually hikers seeking the chance to catch sight of the glowy "spirit bear" (not the politically correct term for him, he is a glowy bear of no particular religion or people, but tourists are persistent in their nickname of him) said to reside within the woods, who ask too many questions about the old man in the woods are often shunned, and sent away with just as little information as they came. Despite rumor telling that Nox knows the bear on a personal level, the town's folk respect his desire for privacy and those that know him well keep his location and times of visit a secret. In a way, they keep him safe, for the sake of not bringing too much attention to their little town. They get along just fine without tourists muddying up the place; they all bet they would litter or try and feed the horses too many carrots or something.

He is imfamous within the small, quiet canadian town he lives; a tiny, ranching community up in northern British Columbia. He's taken up residence deep within the woods on the outskirts of the main village, but he comes out of the trees to say hello once in a while and maybe get a hot chocolate at the local Tim Hortons. He is friendly enough with the locals and will allow a short chat if bribed with a doughnut, but he keeps quiet about where his cabin actually is, and why he lives all the way out there alone. He will become increasingly defensive if the subject of his personal life is not dropped, and will become downright hostile eventually. He avoids physical confrontations as much as he can, but will not hesitate to shove someone around and throw his weight should they really get on his nerves. Overall, people just tend to leave him to his own devices, perhaps offering a treat and short hello for the sake of being friendly, but otherwise just letting the poor man be. He does not come off as a dangerous or scary guy, just one who does not want to be pestered, and the locals have come to respect that of him.

Really, Nox just doesn't want to have to explain how he turnes into a celestial bear either at a whim, or during his forced transformations while the moon is full. It's not an easy subject for him to talk about, and he avoids it at every cost.
