($8) Shi Xing

Abilities: Due to being possessed by a celestial entity and being exposed to ridiculous amounts of magical energy on the daily, Shi has not only learned to lucid dream but also how to step into other people's dreams and work as a dream guide. Most of her heroric work is done in the dream realm where she fights off bad nightmares and learns secrets from dreaming criminals. It is also notable that she is not a very good conductor of magical energy herself and so she relies on her two magical weapons in order to conduct most combat.

Loved nursery rhymes as a kid and although she doesn't dwell on nostalgia too much it helps calm down Cephanet and she has been known to sing them in times of great distress or personal loss.

She mainly uses her magically charmed weapons because her body doesn't conduct actual magic too well.

She's trans and the reason why she looks so edgey now is becaus Cephanet (the star possessing her) realized people could dye their hair and gave her a makeover

Before possession she was pretty average and dyed her hair red because she liked to.

Since being possessed she's learned to smile more but not of her own accord.

A superhero otherwise known as 'the starry eyed astronomer' or Astronomer when she's feeling less egotistical. She was originally just a normal astronomy major studying at a low brow community college. On the side she took a few astrology classes because she thought it'd be useful to know the myths (and she needed a good class to laugh at in her busy schedule). One day, one of her peers asked for help studying the material. Shy-xing agreed to help not realizing that 'studying' was actually using divination and trying to call up the 'titans in the stars' as her peer called them. She made the mistake at laughing at the set up thus "angering" a weak celestial entity who decided to come down and woop her. Now shy shares a body with this entity who claims to be 'the strongest creature there is' despite being really useless and later revealing that they would have probably died if they hadn't possessed her (as they were a dying star). Now, egged on by the annoying voice of this celestial entity and occasionally experience loss of control of her body due to it she uses the fantastical magic and abilities the entity has bestowed upon her to fight crime (well occasionally, her body mate tends to be finicky and have super uptight morals that occasionally bring them to fight some of the heroes or support villains in her storyline). Of course, as a superhero because her entity was that kind of obnoxious. Also notable: Shy-xing has found a purification method that would exorcise the celestial entity from her body however,,, she has resigned to trying and protect them (for the time being) since she understands doing so would probably kill them. Rip, she's too pure for this world.
