Othello is a ghost, who was born in late renaissance Italy and died at a young age. They never learned why they rose as a ghost, but they've tried to move on. He lives in a shared house in regional Victoria, Australia with 2 others; Michael, a gargoyle, and Berma, a sphynx.
Oti is mellow and laid back, with an aura of apathy about them. She gets passionate about her hobbies but is sometimes embarrassed by them. She has a high tolerence for the bullshit of her flatmates

- During Oti's years of wandering, she fell into unnatural ghostly slumbers several times, lasting anywhere from days to years, these slumbers made it difficult to keep track of time, and contributed to her apathy for the world around her.

Born to low status nobles in the Grand Duchy of Tuscany in 1586, Othello was educated in science, literature and the fine arts, and had a reputable education for the time. By early adulthood, his family was losing what little status they had and fallen into hardship, Othello used the relationships she had made with their teachers to secure a position in the court of the Grand Duke Francesco I, who respected Othello's intelligence and admired xier artistry. Othello died of stomach cancer in 1601 at the age of 15.
Othello's ghostly spirit rose 32 years later for reasons he wasn't able to uncover and likely never will. After coming to terms with her situation, Oti tried to live a normal life, but their ghostly nature disturbed xem, and he fell into a deep, everlasting sorrow, and began wandering, first Italy, then Europe, drifting further and further away from her resting place. Oti arrived in Australia sometime in the early 1800s, and continued their wander, eventually coming to rest in the hills of the british colony of New South Wales, where xey fell into deep sleep. When he awoke some time in the 1900s, a house had been built on top of her resting place, and they haunted the residence, driving occupants out with illusions as xe wanted to rest for enternity in peace.
