Davus "Diablo" Haywood

The Haywood family is old and shrouded in mystery, a clan primarily focused within itself and never giving inner details of the ongoings within to the world. Davus Haywood is the most notable member of the family, and the head of it entirely, directing and ruling it with an iron fist behind the scenes.

Davus Haywood, early within his life, was hired by Lucifer himself after chasing down eternal youth. Showing promise, he was granted this wish in exchange to work for Lucifer directly serving as an extension of him. Previously, making deals in exchange for souls was Lucifer's job himself, sneaking onto the surface and with his omniscience finding those who are in their weakest points in their lives, taking advantage and striking a deal for what they want most; Diablo had now replaced this role relieving Lucifer of this duty. With his newfound immortality, he took over the Haywood family and turned it into his own mafia... or a cult, depending on who you ask.

Being around during the times before Mauth's Curse, otherwise known as the Dream Monster Disease, he had his eyes set on taking over the country of Untergan and slowly after that, the world. When the curse had been unleashed upon the continent, he set his sights on Traugott and Cheveyo Vanhal, sowing the seeds of hatred, malice, and ignorance, beginning the split Dream Monster factions and being the original catalyst for the Dream Monster War.

He is playing the long game for control, eventually preying upon Rodger Gizanis and his insanity, subsequently creating Mischief Gracey through Rodger's abuse toward Gracey Diliam and turning the Dream Monster armies on their heads. His sights then, are to find Gracey and hire her himself to join his clan, and study more of the capabilities of the Dream Monster species.

Dealing souls is an interesting task, Davus grants what the customer most desires in exchange for their soul, which in turn may ruin their lives. He travels the entire planet, seemingly appearing when you are at your lowest, telling you what you want to hear and extending a comforting hand, only to then pull you into his sweet lies and take your soul. After exchanging a deal, he seemingly vanishes in the wind, but his presence is everywhere all at once. Due to his legendary status, he was granted the name "Diablo" in legend, and is told through folktales as the mysterious man in the purple suit.

He has only one living son, Archer Haywood, born to a woman married into the Haywood family. Archer's mother wanted to escape, but once her plans had been found out by Davus she was murdered, but before being caught had been able to adopt Archer out as a baby without stating his familial lineage or history. Archer Haywood's whereabouts are, surprisingly, unknown to Diablo himself; but now without a heir had to resort to creating a prosthetic version of Archer, Evicher Haywood.
