ABOUT

Originated out of Toontown Online, a game I played for many many years. I made her after I had gotten terminated on my original toon, Fat Bongo, in April 2010. I drew her a bunch since I made her, and most drawings of her on paper are lost, but she went through tons of changes and designs.
Gracey as a character, is really standoff-ish and untrusting. It's very rare to see her smile and show any signs of happiness if you're a stranger.

2013 marked the true comeback for Gracey art-wise, Toontown Online closed September 19, 2013 and afterward I was left drawing a ton, since I didn't play many other games at all. I got my tablet on my birthday in 2013, and I went ham. Beforehand, I drew a lot in Gimp with a mouse. Gracey went through tons of changes but remained the same with a sort of cocky and tough personality, over time as I got older she started to reflect the changes in me as well, even with her body changes.

On June 7th, 2014 I created Mischief Gracey, in that debut picture I had the idea that Gracey was able to take her head off whenever she so pleased, she bled a little but she wouldn't die. This is a trait that I sometimes forget, but it still has carried on into recent times. Summer 2014 Gracey changed a fuckton, and so her infatuation with weapons came to be. She sported mostly a wooden bat as her staple item, and over time I gave her a huge blue hammer and sometimes an axe, more weapons too came to be like huge cannon guns and the like. The whole idea is that she's a bit of a weapon hoarder.

Around the time I cancelled The Strength of Four (late 2015-ish) I began to make a whole plotline that describes the origins of Mischief Gracey and Gracey's adventures meeting her and fighting other foes, this turned into Mischief, which changed Gracey a lot and made her more separated from myself. Beforehand she was sort of a reflection of me and an internet persona (I used to even just call myself Gracey since at the time I didn't like giving out my real name) but now she became much more and she turned into a deep and developed character.

In Mischief, she's the sort of main character in the story. Everything that happens is described through her eyes and her personal experiences, aside from some out of body sections where you get filled in with other characters. She grew up in a small town in the continent Untergan, but tragedy struck. Her mother and father, well known teachers of martial arts and sword fighting, had fallen in battle against the town's invaders, Dream Monsters. Taken in by her older brother, she was raised almost by him. He brought her to school, made sure she kept on her studies, and any sort of fighting skills he made sure to teach her. Once she turned 18, she graduated school and moved on to live alone and figure out her life. A few months in living in the new town she moved to, another Dream Monster invasion strikes. She fights back, but got overwhelmed; Her entire town gets basically wiped out, and through the night she laid on the street bleeding out, waiting for her death. When everything looks grim, she's saved by Rodger Gizanis, a lonely runaway doctor who built a cabin in the nearby woods to settle down and have a quiet lifestyle. For unknown reasons, he had came to the town and investigated, and the only survivor he had found at the time was Gracey. Bringing her to his home, he made sure she recovered and got back to good health. This sparked a relationship between the two, but not a romantic one like Rodger sort of hoped for. Spiraling into a hole of insanity, Rodger sold his soul for power and used Gracey as a test subject to a bizarre experiment regarding separating the head from the body. The test had brought Gracey to a borderline insane state, and with that mental instability she had formed her own Dream Monster and was doomed to die once again. After a surprisingly swift recovery after the experiment being a success, Gracey managed to escape Rodger's home and ran for hours. She was eventually found by Akuma Matsumoto's wife, Scarlet, after having collapsed in nearby fields and had been there for an unknown amount of time. Once again brought back to health, but she was much more weary and distrustful this time.

After recovering somewhat with her wounds, she fell ill and bedridden for many many months to both of their dismay. Gracey hit the second stage of the Dream Monster curse. During the formation of Mischief Gracey in her mind, she had many crazy and strange dreams with visions of many entities with the same face, orange eyes, green mouth, black-ish color scheme. It was bizarre, sometimes even objects bore those traits. Eventually, she began to have conversations with the entity and learned more about it. It was a dream monster, a whole other consciousness forming inside of her mind that will eventually take hers. Accepting her eventual fate, she formed a sort of bond with the entity and grew to learn what it enjoyed and disliked. It saw the world through her eyes and found similar interests, and had wild curiosity of the world outside of dreams. Towards the end of the usual estimated time til death, Gracey was accepting and felt like this new consciousness might do better than she might have in her life, but the fear of losing herself forever still lingered. The entity, dubbing itself "Mischief" began to feel almost guilty for what was to come, they had formed some sort of friendship during this time and knowing that Gracey will cease to exist bothered them immensely. Mischief bit the bullet and did something almost unheard of, she prolonged her formation. 4 extra months of sickness was for Gracey, still mostly bedridden and forming an almost daughter and mother relationship with Scarlet. During this limbo period, Gracey began to lose her dreams. Some nights, they would be vivid and she would have conversations with Mischief, but others it was all completely black. Mischief was breaking out of Gracey's mind, slowly but surely.

Eventually the day came, while Gracey had been asleep she witnessed Mischief tear herself through the fabric of the mind and create some sort of shattered dream in Gracey's head. Not knowing what was going on, she was panicking and afraid of what was to come. Everything was falling apart, but suddenly, there was nothing. She was still alive, but there was nothing, no dreams, only blackness. Mischief then suddenly had broken out of Gracey's back and split into her own physical self, Gracey shrieking in pain and horror during the strenuous process; but it ended quickly. Before her on the ground laid Mischief Gracey, who was smaller than expected initially, but then grew to be a larger and more tough version of Gracey. She was still sporting the same orange eyes and green mouth as seen in Gracey's dreams, but now also had some new horns. This began some sort of unbreakable bond between the two, and in Mischief, Gracey teaches MG about the world and helps her find her own sense of self. The two of them, because of their linked mental state, can also reform back together to create some sort of fusion that is Mischief-Posessed Gracey, a more strong but also very nimble version of the two.

When I began dating my boyfriend Connor, it became canon that Gracey was in a relationship as well with his character Murphy Greenlee. Gracey meets Murphy a couple years after the events of Mischief, and they eventually get married and have a child named Remmy Greenlee.
