Details: Once a soldier in the war, Callus's life was saved by Gadrien, who warned the fatally injured soldier his experimental alchemy had unknown side effects. Callus agreed to it regardless, only worried about preserving his life. As a result, Callus slowly began a transformation into a beastly bat creature. The war marched on without him and Callus slowly became an urban legend to the nearby city as sightings of him in the trees spread as whispers through the town.
