At a glance, no one is really sure what to think of Riles. Due to their stoic tendencies, they can come across as aloof to some, only allowing themselves to be vunerable with a select few people. It can be hard to get in Riles' good graces, especially if they feel as if they have reasons to distrust someone. However, If one manages to befriend the cleric, they'd have a friend for life.
Riles has found their place on the team as their go-to healer. While they've never had any mediceutical training, their able to remain collected in tight situations, and the enchanted bottles they create seem to do their job well. While they'll indulge in small talk from time to time, Riles tends to have a habit of distanting themselves, initially making it hard for them to form connections within the group. As time's gone on, they've warmed up to the team a fair bit, though they still have their withdrawn moments from time to time.They and Trish lived pretty uneventful lives in Greenhorne. Neither had powers, but they didn't really mind that much. They'd bake goods/cook meals to trade off in the market place and, though their success rate was hit or miss, they were able to live in relative comfort.
One day, after the Dark Lord swapped everyone's powers, Riles found themselves able to conduct electricity, whereas Trish was able to create fire. Just as they were reaching some semblence of normal, Trish got called away by a mysterious voice to aid in the fight against Ethan. Riles was concerned, but supportive as Trish left in search of others called by the voice. Trish would write them frequently, spilling every word of her adventures to Riles.
After a few weeks, Riles abruptly stopped recieving letters. As Riles had begun to grow worried, the same mysterious voice called them. The voice beckoned him to go out and seek out a person named Summer, who Riles had heard a fair bit about from Trish's letters. Making haste, they set off, in the hopes that they'd be able to find their friend safe and sound.
- Like Trish, Riles found that they had obtained powers from Ethan's meddling. They can control electricity, conducting it with their hands.
- While cleaning out some belongings, Riles found an odd staff they'd gotten for Trish a year or two and, after accidently running electricity through it, they figured out that they could power it up using their newly aquirred powers.
- Anything that can pass through the hole in the staff can be imbued with energy. Riles uses it to create potions that they can give to others mid-combat. They can also be tossed into the air and explode into a burst of light, which will heal if it was made from water, or damage if it was made from cactus juice.
- The bottles are usually made in advance unless Riles is under dire circumstances, as the energy the staff imbues the beverage with is siphoned off of Riles, tiring them out.
- Used cactus juice to cope with their best friend being kidnapped, it's the quenchiest.

Their beginnings weren't easy, but in recent times the two have moved past their animosity. Riles has come to respect Summer as a person and leader, to the point where he was even willing to fight his own best friend (in coin form) to protect her. Whether they themselves realize it or not, they've come to care about her a fair bit.
The duo have know eachother for a few years, and their practically inseperable. When Riles learned that she got kidnapped by the Dark Lord, he dropped everything, willing to travel to the ends of Miitopia in order to find his friend again. Riles appreciates Trish's enthusiasm and sweet personality. She always finds ways of keeping his life interesting.
