Nala is a strong, confident woman, always standing in defense to protect others. She's talkative and friendly, but doesn't trust easily. Though, she gives everyone a chance. She is very patient with people (especially children), always ready to listen. She knows her worth and will not let anyone belittle or underestimate her.

Nala is a part of a large group of people that were born with mutated genes in their bodies - the mutation changes something in appearance, tolerance or abilities (even supernatural) of the carrier and it's severity varies from person to person. Every person who has it has got a specific birthmark somewhere on their body (the placement varies, too) so they are easier to identify. Because of the huge variety of possible enhancements, all mutants were grouped into three categories depending on their abilities - green (not dangerous), yellow (keep an eye on them) and red (dangerous, needs to be locked down). The state of mutants' quality of life varies from continent to continent, from country to country; some countries do not want to have anything to do with them, so they're on their own, having to build their own shelters away from 'normal' people, some countries let them live with them with no problem.
Nala lived her whole life in Somalia. As soon as she turned 15, Nala ran away from Africa and found her shelter in Greece. She lived in an encampment full of refugees like her and learned how to survive and be strong together with them. She eventually became a babysitter for all the children that lived in the camp and befriended Ajax, a green status mutant that has healing abilities. She lived there until she turned 22. Eventually, three couriers - Jian, Pascal and Hector visited their camp to deliver them food rations and other necessities. As they stayed for a few days there waiting for the next shipment, Nala got to know them better. She immediately found a common language with Jian, and after a few days spent with him (and lots of attempts from Jian to convince her to go with them), she eventually aggreed to travel and work with them.
She and her friends work as couriers, carrying packages in the van from one village to another, all over the Europe. They don't have a proper house, they live in a van that was rebuilt and adapted for their lifestyle. She's considered to be a brain of the whole crew now.
