Alheimurinn has existed since time had no meaning. Their body is not composed of matter, and they have the ability to control dark energy. In a way, they /are/ dark energy. Murinn was content to drift in space forever, with no light, heat, or even atoms. They were happy. Until suddenly, there was light. There was heat. And it felt awful. Murinn became desperate. They began to toy with their abilities, and realised that they could spread out this new 'matter'. They could expand the universe. And so they did. As time passed, Murinn grew stronger and more confident in their ability. The rate at which the universe expanded accelerated, and all they had to do was wait. Stars were born, and then reduced to a cinder. Life rose, then fell. And still Murinn persisted, willing the freezing, empty blackness to return. After trillions upon trillions of years, Murinn had succeeded in their quest. The universe had become still, empty, barren. And Alheimurinn was once again at peace.

• Murinn has never encountered another consious being. If they had, perhaps their outlook on the universe would be different.
• Although Murinn is blind, they can still detect light, which is a very painful sensation for them.
• Murinn appears to be the same species as the observer, no matter who they are.
• Murinn does not think of themself as alive.
