Jules is a unique individual with a personality that is heavily influenced by his autism. He has his own way of thinking and processing information, which often leads him to take actions that may seem unusual to others. However, those who take the time to understand him will find that he has many admirable qualities, such as his honesty, his attention to detail, and his strong sense of empathy. For all of Jules' life, he has been taught that his autistic traits are defects and need to be corrected often by receiving dehumanizing "interventions". Jules has always felt like he's not quite as well-liked as his peers, and he can't seem to put his finger on why. He wonders if there's something he does with his hands or his face that turns people off, or if it's just the way he speaks that he can't help. It's frustrating to feel like he's doing something wrong without knowing what it is. When interacting with others, his communication is frequently dismissed and criticized due to misunderstandings and misinterpretations, except when people require his intellect and creativity to use for their own benefit. People often view Jules as socially inept, and those in positions of authority over him often pressure him to be more social. Jules frequently masks his true self, which takes a toll on his well-being. As a result, he often experiences meltdowns when he finally feels safe enough to let his guard down.

Personality

Jules is very eccentric, cynical, and remarkably intelligent but mostly keeps to himself. He's often very bored or melancholy and isn't very fond of social interaction. Jules is highly perceptive and unaffected by any sort of social peer pressure. He has a very neutral reaction to anything that doesn’t excite him and manages to stay calm in stressful situations.

Identity

Jules identifies as nonbinary and uses he/him or they/them pronouns. He is bisexual with a strong lean towards men. Jules strongly identifies himself as part of the ace spectrum and does not experience sexual attraction unless a strong emotional bond has been established.

a prominent character in Jules' life that almost functions as sort of an antagonist that makes Jules' life unnecessarily uncomfortable.

not really a major character nor necessarily an antagonist within Jules' daily life. She is a major source of emotional abuse that has negatively impacted Jules' personality.
