Niel

About: 

Subdued by Eoin in a human's body via the potion he made and caused him trouble, Niel is a giraffe with an extremely chatty personality, the main source of all his problems. Because of it, anytime that tries to act normal in public in his human appearence, he just causes more drama because of his fame that get recognised as soon as he mentions how cool is being a man-eater cannibalistic giraffe thatcontrolstheshadowsofanentirepackoflions- 

Being the first creature that holds souls in his body, creating powerful misguiding potions, doesn't stop his younger tendencies; which for him are mocking people and chatting with every poor soul that enters his sight. That could end in three ways: the person rather dumps, fight or gets annoyed by Niel. Along with his babbling, this usually lowers his reputation as a really fearful individual right after. 

Infact, his fame mostly comes by his ""secret"" passion anyone knows: strong women. 

Appearence notes & Curiosities:

•Sometimes, he refers himself as "We". When he walks, it seems that more individuals walks with him, making multiple footprints.

•When he speaks, it seems that multiple whispers are added to his voice in a lower tone than his; if he screams the multiple whispers are clearer and more disturbing.

•If you look directly at his face, for a few istants it seems that near his face there are multiple half of another distorted faces that vary like an hallucination. 

•His potion makes his scars turning into darker skin tones in the human form, making his skin similar to the vitiligo condition. 

•Anytime he takes his "human potion", fabric defects can rise up, such as: random positions of his scars (exept the one on his face), black or white hair, different tones of skin pigmentation and soft horns instead of the basic ones of a giraffe. Size can vary depending on how good the potion is.

No one knows where he came from, what happened to him and what's the source of his foggy and strange mentality, but as people may find him disturbing, some finds him as a godly figure, following everything he says and accomplishing his words even if he does the same with a forbidden love. Niel absolutely hates that last type of people, torturing their ideals and making them go absolutely feral. He doesn't stand the fact that "if something seems too unreal, they must be a god". Believes that some people are just more mentally active than others, the excuse of being born with powers already, just bores and irritates him.

Niel is a Giraffe that caged up any living being inside his body, creating an unusual type of magic that no living being was ever being able to do. His "shadows" are always with him, even if they appear in an hallucination by an outsider eye. Now that he's a paranormal individual, Niel can bring someone into hallucinations in order to escape from fatal situations or to stun his enemies. 

His souls, however, requires an immense sacrifice: his time, his flesh, his life. Stuck in a loop, he must consume the same specie he holds in his body, in order to get his life longer (he assimilates the remaining life that his victim would have lived if he didn't kill them), since on the other hand his souls constantly steals his life's hours, seconds, minutes, even years to revenge their fallen companions. If Niel stops to eat other's flesh, his souls will eat his life to get free. He can stop his own curse anytime, but the sake of knowledge and abilities he wants to experiment, keeps himself caged in his own bars. 

The only food he can eat not to trigger his magic, are mushrooms.

Niel seems to appear into large fights without taking any particular side: he can order his shadows to accomplish some tasks even when he's unable to move or to not get caught. Any action consumes a lot of vital energy (or a nosebleed) but can be useful in extreme situations or in a stealthy one. 

He can explode releasing all his shadows, in a rage towards a huge crowd or entire kingdoms. However, if releasing one shadow consumes energy, an entire platoon can be fatal to Niel, fainting into the ground or bringing him in such weak form that he's obligated to drink a potion that turns him into a human, so in case he faints there's a low percentage that enemies do not relate his feral form to the human appearence (infact, most of the time people brings him into a hospital, believing he's one of the survivors left from the battle).

He can also surround himself with shadows and punching the floor, making an explosion.

Origins:

No one believed that an animal could be incarcerated for death sentence, for unknown reasons in an unknown but famous place, tied up and waiting to die out of blood injures. As he escaped thanks to a miracle, another made him caged again into Eoin's arms, after he discovered the potential Niel had. The language barrier was the first obstacle Niel himself removed thanks to his potion that made something organic into another organism, even if defects showed later up [•••]
