Basic Info

Species:

Dragon

Type:

Sea Serpent

Gender:

Female

Age:

Considered to be a young adult

Life Stage:

A 4th stage nymph, Thalischys has gone through many molts already in her life time, and each time has seen major changes; she has two more molts before she reaches full maturity, where any further molts will simply continue to increase her size.

Size and Build:

At ~14' from nose to tail, Thal is not particularly large; she weighs in at around ~700lbs. Easily described as thin and waif-like, as far as dragons are concerned, not substantial.

Flesh:

In places rubbery and smooth, in others (particularly along her backside) rough and sand-papery, Thalischys lacks any protective scales one might expect of a dragon; the horns and spurs protruding along her body, however, are made of dense, smooth bone seemingly polished to a shine. The otherwise delicate fins along her back and tail contain sharp barbs. That long nose appears to be made mostly of firm, rubbery cartilage.

Appearance:

Naturally warm, sandy brown, spotted flesh appears to vaguely take on colour from the filtered light around it, allowing this dragon some level of camouflage. Large, expressive amber eyes.

Voice:

High pitched, squeaky; it often sounds on the verge of breaking.

Mermaid Form:

The most favoured of any form Thalischys might take, this mermaid seems to be only a minor alteration of her true form, given arms, a more humanoid face, and hair. In fact, she doesn't even bother to alter her markings to favour a more traditional mermaid form! The other main difference is that this form is usually much, much smaller than the dragon herself, though there seems to be no consistent or set size it takes on with every transformation.

Mermaid Size:

Typically between 5'-8' in length; significantly heavier than a true mermaid would.

Mermaid Hair:

Sometimes coarse, sometimes feathery soft; always a desaturated purple.
