Saika

A brash knucklehead who'd rather talk with her fists first, Saika was once the Chief of the Village of the Horns before her abrupt kidnapping. Though her gruff but personable nature won her the respect and support of her fellow oni for the role, Saika absolutely detested it, as following authority and being one was never her forte. She prefers to live and guide life by her own hand, to be free and spontaneous without being shackled down (even when circumstances led her down that very route). Beyond anything, Saika fights for her freedom, and detests just about anyone who gets in the way of it. However, besides this (and liars or traitors, which make her poisonous blood boil with rage), Saika isn't phased by much, and usually takes on others with a rather forward friendliness; her pats on the back may be a little too rough or her interest a little too intrusive. After all, everyone's your friend until they make you their enemy, right? But it's thanks to this, a strong tenacity, and the ability to bounce back from bothersome things easily that has helped her through the bullshit life throws.

Trivia

- She isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. Her literal response to anything that can be solved with physical contact is to punch it. 

- Saika has pronounced canines, and they can be seen when she gives a toothy smile.

- Even though her ears are covered by her hair, they are human-shaped with red studs. 

- Her blood is a purple-red due to being highly poisonous.

- She absolutely, positively hates the apron Hana makes her wear while on the job. 

- Saika can hold her drink relatively well and likes to feel tipsy, but hates the taste of sake. She's warmed up to the sweet taste of northerner wine introduced to her by Haruko.

- Cicadas are her favorite animal as they remind her of summer; likewise, she likes yellow flowers because they remind her of Haruko.
