Upon first meeting her, Duskbringer still retains the stotic and high-horsed attitude most Nightwings posess, with blunt words and an apathetic tone. The dragon is greatly food-motivated and one can become friends with her very quickly if she's offered a meal or tasty snacks. She's quite laid-back and would rather bask on warm rocks than do normal dragon responsibilities. Duskbringer feels little connection to her tribe and doesn't plan on returning to the Night Kingdom anytime soon.
Duskbringer was raised to be an assassin during the war. However, once she set foot on Pyrrhia and began her work, the whole "killing dragons" thing lost appeal. Why bother when dragons were killing each other anyway? And besides, Pyrrhia was so much more vast than the volcano, and so much richer in food. Duskbringer quickly abandoned her duties and spent the rest of the war in hiding. After the war she traveled more openly, showing up in random towns and tasting all the food available.
