THE AUDITION
One of the big dance companies had been scouting the local talent recently, and Lottie caught their eye. Lottie was practicing some of her dances when her coach informed her that she scored an audition with "Big Style DANCE", a company that provided gateways to idol trainee opportunities, and acting gigs. Lottie was honored and she was ready to work hard. Lottie and her coach got to work practicing the required routine for the audition. There were two parts of the audition. The first part is where they weed out all of the no-goes, and the second part where they choose the top for girls for the four available parts. The morning of the first audition lottie was up all night making sure every meticulous move was correct. She was too nervous to eat, which was a mistake. WHen she got there it was immediate that this was a different world from what Lottie was used to. As she was warming up waiting for her turn, she heard some of the other girls giggling. Lottie tried to ignore it, but then she heard the girls talking about "Buck teeth" and "stiff movement". Even though Lottie was used to competitive pressure, this was a new level. She tried to push it to the back of her mind but she couldn't help but let it cloud her mental space. When it was her time to audition, she was a nervous wreck. She heard the music go on, and she began to perform. She was doing alright, then her shoe slipped, and she made a small fumble. Her mind went blank as she started to panic. To her, this was the longest minute and forty five seconds of her life. When she finished, she could barely breathe. She thanked the talent scouts and got off the stage, trembling. The rest of the day was a blur. Later that night she was informed that she was one of 8 girls who they wanted to come back for the second half of the audition. Normally she would be ecstatic, but the thought of having to go back into the shark tank was terrifying. She was determiend to redeem herself and practice herself into the ground. For three days straight she lived in the dance studio on campus, staying insanely late nights. on the fourth night, she was running on so little sleep, and way too much caffine to keep her awake. As she want to her final few steps of choreogrphy she slipped and collapsed. It wasn't a painful fall, but it was the straw that broke the camels back. The floodgates were open and Lottie broke down. Mi-jin, who was just getting to the studio to practice her routines becuase she had procrastinated all day, heard the sounds of wailing from the hall way. When Mi-jin got into the studio, she saw Lottie on her hands and knees crying her eyes out.
FILL IN HERE
The morning of the final Audition broke, and Lottie, feeling well rested and calm, prepared for the day. The audition isn't until later in the evening, so Lottie has time to fill. She attends all her classes, all the time thinking about what Mi-jin had said to her. "Peepeepoo, Lottie." The words still resonating in her head, almost became a mantra for her. When she got to the audition, she felt completely different from a few days ago. confidant, and okay with letting what ever happens happen. The music starts and Lottie hits every beat, and she was surprised that it was already over. Not even an hour after the audition had ended, she got a call from the talent scout, informing her that she had landed one of the four spots. She called Mi-jin immedietely to tell her how the words that she spoke had inspired her. Lottie then made a stop at her parents to tell her dad how she had finally gotten her big break.PRESENT

Mi-Jin
[ Rival turned Friend ]
Lottie first met Mi-jin at one of her auditions as a kid. She didn't pay much attention to Mi-jin, other than another girl who could be some competition. She continued to run into Mi-jin all through out her childhood, from dance competitions, to talent shows. By the time Lottie was a teenager, she and Mi-Jin had been at the same event at least a hundred times. It wasn't until Lottie had her fateful night at the dance studio when she finally broke and Mi-jin was there for her. Since then Mi-jin and Lottie have been close friends, sharing new music, clothes, and talking about pop culture and trendy sweets.
