Permafrost

Permafrost is the living incarnation of a harsh winter storm which ravages the planet it lives on. It commands the storm, but the storm also commands it; the two are halves of the same whole. Permafrost seeks to eliminate all remaining pockets of life on its dying world; those few who survive their encounters with it see the most beautiful auroras, no matter their location on the planet.

Permafrost is forever in conflict with a Daiten named Vallis, who tries to curb its deadly tendencies. He is an annoyance, at worst, because for some unknown reason he refuses to harm Permafrost gravely enough to kill it.

Permafrost battles with its claws and teeth, more like an animal than a fighter.
