Caught as a small fry and gifted to Maeve as an offering, she has been a captive inside the Czylph's possession her entire life. Fierce in her youth, she often found a way to escape her glamoured cage and wander the town as a human, visiting the ocean when she could. She was angry and alone and wanting nothing more than to rebel against her master. Her music could be heard far and wide on the shores when she left the grounds and visited the waters, leading people astray and to their watery graves.
After a number of these instances Maves clamped down on her freedom even more, making sure the girl had a magic ward over her indoor lake. To say she lives in squalor would be erroneous, but she is still a prisoner in her home, no matter how lavish and rich it may be.
