An ancient demon wandering the world, ever on the lookout for more toys to have his fun with. 

Became an agent of Intel at some point, though as an outsider he doesn't have access to much of Intel's information network. Not that he cares very much, mind . . .

POWERS

  • Morass - shadow manipulative ability, usable to attack/defend/etc, sometimes takes the form of black sand
    • Shadow Shapes - able to turn shadows into solid shapes and control them at will. Usable to create shadow minions
      • Labyrinth - encloses targets in a shadowy alternate dimension which he controls, similar to dungeons
    • Spectral Step - able to melt into and move through shadows and teleport between connecting ones
    • Wraith - any hits that do not strike his core will instantly regenerate from shadows so long as he is in a dark place
    • Thief's Pouch - a dimensional "bag" of shadow in which he can store objects
    • Gleaming Eyes - able to see perfectly in darkness, also able to send his eyes to see from anywhere within a connected darkness, usable to map out an area. Only able to "see" from one viewpoint at a time, has an unfortunate tell in that golden eyes appear from where he is looking through, eyes are vulnerable to attack
    • Black Poison - infects a wound with his shadowy sand, causing intense agony and degenerative damage
  • Beguile - a mental-effect ability with application over a person or an area, no reading ability
    • Illusion - casts illusions, able to layer them over Shadow Shapes to make them seem real
    • Influence - causes a status effect on the target, eg. sleep/fear/dizzy/slow etc. Also able to apply it with more subtlety when he can be bothered
      • Shade - makes himself extremely forgettable and easy to overlook, able to target it to just one person if he wants to mess with them. Can be used in combination with any of his other abilities, almost always used with Gleaming Eyes
      • Echo - able to confuse and displace the presence/perception of others, so long as they are within his range
      • Pandemonium - a specific status effect that induces berserk fury or madness
    • Night Terror - increases target susceptibility to the effects of fear and influence, strongest in darkness
      • Nightmare - causes the fears of the target to take solid form, able to twist them to his will. Combination of Shadow Shapes and Illusion, one of the only "mind reading" abilities he has
    • Form Change - able to make himself appear "human" as desired, but without any actual physical change


COMBAT STYLE

  • A scout, he sneaks out ahead to find information on opponents
  • Primarily uses traps and sneak attacks, doesn't fight directly if he can help it
  • Enjoys targeting and terrifying weaker opponents


WEAKNESSES

  • Strongest in darkness, but able to create darkness so it's not a big deal, just more costly in terms of mana
  • Area attacks gets blocked by standard barriers
  • Lacking in direct offensive or defensive prowess, but is surprisingly sturdy for someone specialized in indirect combat


NOTES

  • Knows Karlos; finds the other demon in turns a great playmate or a terrible bore depending on how well their interests align at the moment
  • Generally gets along well with people who have similar interests or personalities
  • Likes going after the vulnerable, has a tendency to break his toys
  • Feeds off hatred, pain and fear
