Daniel was born in raised in America to a small family. He lived in Hawaii, specifically from the island Hawai'i, for his entire childhood. Daniel's mother comes from Mexico and his father was from the island, so the language mix at home was messy, but Daniel was used to it.

Afab, or assigned female at birth, Daniel knew ever since he was a little kid just how much he hated being seen as a girl. He was constantly reminded of it through school and things like pet names from family, particularly from his mother who refused to call him anything but "mija" around the house. Daniel cared for his parents but nonetheless moved out almost as soon as he could, his heart set on travel so he could have control over his life for once. He had started his medical transition and had surgery at 19, then moved to Europe for a change around 21.

In Europe, Daniel later found himself joining this organization of assassins, where he met Ananas. Needless to say, Ananas hated him from the day they met, but Daniel had fun with his hatred, not even knowing where it originated from. He was roommates with Ananas from then on.
