Backstory

When ichiban was a young kitten he lived alone with his mother, to him his mother was everything he wanted to be. Strong kind and dependable, and even though she did not have magic he saw how she could do just about anything she put her mind to. He idolized his mother and she seemed to care for a love him. She always called him kitten making the young shooter think this was his name. His mother also taught him common stardragon and the "superior" shooter stardragon language homeschooling the small child. though some of the information he learned was outdated like who was in charge of different countries and what not he still kept every lesson deep in his heart and mind. she also taught the smoll kitten to hide his magic use saying that bad people would take advantage of a shooter who could use magic.

When he was about 5 years old his mother told him that she had to leave for a while and for him to stay. home and dont open the door for anyone, she even told the young boy that there was food in the fridge that would last him for as long as she was out. she was gone for about a month before little ichiban decided to leave his house. when he asked people around the neighborhood if they had seen his mother they told him that she has not come back and asked who the child was. he would run at that point feeling nervous to talk to strangers who started to ask questions. he noticed his food was running low and he could not find much money in his home so he mustered up his courage and went out looking for odd jobs that would hire a small child, these jobs were not the best and were dangerous but he did not have much of a choice since it was the only things he could do to keep himself alive, during this time he found a new teacher in some caravan guards who were in the area. his little eyes went wide hearing there stories and he asked if he could be as cool as them, and when they said yes thinking it was just helping a small child get some dreams he soon asked if they could teach him. At first they told the child no and told him to leave and go home but little Ichiban kept coming and asking if he could be trained by them to become a great caravan guard like they were. Eventually they gave in when ichiban said he had no one at home to go to and brought the young lad along with them using him to help haul there gear and load the clients supplies and even training him how to defend himself.

After many years traveling with his mentors and getting a name that people would rember and not really make fun of Ichiban decided to go off on his own to find out the truth of what happened to his mother, and to become Number one in everything that he set out to do.
