"A dead man walking that Salesa character... Heard he made it off the mountain for gods sakes! Nothing can kill 'em."

A story he didn't have the energy to correct when it got written.. There is some truth to it, however. Having woken up on top of the most radioactive mountain in Alaska, buried in ice and snow like a grave and being half dug up by a deathclaw. Victor only survived cause he was too scared to move. Nowadays searching for answers of his origin, Salesa travels through the wastes, searching for any bits of leverage on the savage people who inhabit it.
An irradiated wasteland truly does wonders for a person's mental integrity.

Victor, as a man of few words might first appear entirely emotionless to random bypassers. A stranger dressed in bulk with an unhappy disposition and a glare. Under a monotone voice and an expressionless face, however, his nature runs deeper.

Ambitious to a fault, Salesa holds himself to extremely high standards, pushing himself over to reach new heights whenever he can. With less than vague morales he isn't afraid to push around or kiss up to people he comes across to eventually gain what he wants.
Though not entirely malicious, Salesa holds himself to a certain standard of secrecy. He'd rather not have his goals or morals out on show for the people and creatures of the wastelands. With little trust, and a lot of people wanting to take advantage of those who have it, Salesa feels comfort in being able to keep his buisness sub rosa.
With life in the wastes being as rough as it is, Salesa's agressiveness is a straight response to the environtment and people around him. With his first signs of life and contact in the wastes being the Viking Oath, he had gotten a set standard for living pretty early on. With influence of nature and nurture, he left his first settlement with strict standards for survival.

Salesa might come across as quite temperamental, though most of it is a combination of mental radiative deterioration and bad nerves. His actions might seem rash or unplanned but more often than not he's doing as he sees fit. With his previous experiences in the wastes, he's learnt that the most predictable things can be anticipated, and tries to avoid the most determineable outcomes. Keep them on their toes.
Believing himself to already have seen death, with his time spent under snow and ice, Salesa has become quite pessimistic about life and death. With the ever-awaiting nothingness of death already experienced, all hopeful things he hears about the afterlife seem like utter nonsense. He's been there himself, he claims, and there's nothing.
The one thing that Salesa can truly say he enjoys in this life is the company of animals. With less talkative natures than most people, animals are quite the welcome companions in the dangerous wastes. With a soft spot for cubs and pups, Salesa tries to keep his distance from these vulnerable companions the best he can... Part of him says it's only for hiding his weaknesses, but a part of him knows he just doesn't want to lose a friend.

Equipment


Victor is usually seen in a bundle of outerwear to ward off the cold. No less than three layers of thick clothes decorate his back at any given moment, giving him a much larger silouette than the one of his own. From a distance the ghoulish appearance and large silhouette is meant to intimidate possible competition.

Though a nimble man when it comes to combat, Victor prefers to get up and personal with his opponents, wielding an old-fashioned police baton at his side.

Story


The life of Victor Salesa started out as a quite boring one, not that he himself remembers much of it. Spending most of the apocalypse under ice can evidently do a bit of damage to one’s memory.
His new life began when he was awakened and dug up from an icy grave by creatures straight out of an old horror picture. Massive frame with sharp teeth and claws. Surviving the encounter with the slightest slivers of memory on how to deal with alaskan brown bears, he stayed still, unmoving in his uncovered grave until the creatures left.

Victor wandered the snowy wastes until he found the purchase of level dirt and stone, flat ground, and a settlement. With not much voice to spear to the settlers, they held him as a curiosity. A man who survived the mountains! Victor didn’t have the energy of correcting them.
After a few nights spent recovering and learning about the new world he was thrust into and his.. condition, Victor decided to embark on a journey, leaving the settlement behind him. He couldn’t just trust in the kindness of others, from what he heard, and had to make a name for himself. With a few lucky figures in the time he spent in the wastes of Alaska, he learnt all he could, from hacking old machinery to hunting and the dangers of the wild.

Now living as a dead man, Victor tries to find any remaining trace of his past life before the bombs. Curious about the rumors of the mutated sapling, Victor is sure of one of many things in this wasteland. Power leads to reputation, and with reputation comes answers, or at least a lot of people willing to get them for you. With this plant, if even real, he could take a step closer to figuring out how he came to be what and how he is.

Viking Oath is known for working with low lives and scumbags of the wasteland, they’re ruthless and don’t see torture, murder, stealing as an issue. They want to make their own laws and morals, actively going against the “golden middle road” philosophy. Viking Oath might be aggressive but they’re still sneaky and calculate their moves carefully.

Residents of the Inside Passage

Residents of the inside passage originate from Vault 45, where 70% of the population was female. Over the years, residents of Vault 45 broke free from their vault and formed a society around it. The population is still heavily female, and it's the women mainly leading the troops.

The Division

The Division is a small gang of social rejects of the Wasteland, consisting mainly of ghouls. Their main goal is just to sabotage other factions, and to protect people outside of them. They’re the easiest group to join, since they simply really don’t care as long as you’re not part of the oath.

King's Men

The Kings are a punch of smooth talking slimy babiohazardds, though, they do know how to make the most of it in the wasteland. Kings will automatically see players as a friend, by this they can get access to their shop where you can buy more rare items.
