Dog Partners: Alpha (5 yrs.) & Smoke (3 yrs.)

Jobs: As leader of the K9 unit he’s in charge of maintaining the kennels where all the search and rescue dogs are kept and keeping his team under control. They’re a rarely used sector due to the controversy with employing dogs into the KND and as such report directly to the Supreme Leader.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Well-disciplined and loyal to his team, including the dogs under his care, he believes in the KND’s mission and wants to protect kids and dogs alike.

Notable Marks: Teeth marks from a dog bite across his left hand and wrist, usually covered by his gloves.

Physical Condition: Mostly healthy but his left eye was damaged during a dog fight and he’s had vision problems with it since.

Personality: Can be demanding, he wants his team to be accepted by the wider organization and sets out to prove that dogs are perfectly safe and even helpful.

Intelligence: Highly calculating and knows all the ins and outs of the organization.

History: He’s grown up surrounded by dogs and learned most of his skills from his older sister. He took an interest in the KND at age 5 and joined shortly after as a cadet. Upon turning 6 he was given his choice of the kennel pups and took Alpha as his partner, the KND leaders at the time reluctantly agreeing to this new addition. By 7 he was already arguing with the Moonbase to recognize his ‘unit’ and eventually permitted to form Sector AK under temporary status. During his 8th year Smoke joined his team and he ran into his first major problem, his parents were boarding an aggressive wolfhound that refused to submit to Alpha’s authority in the pen. A fight broke out in the pens and he, along with both his partners, was injured trying to break it up. He was out of commission for a month and the Supreme Leader threatened to pull the plug on the temp unit, but he eventually managed to get the incident covered up and AK recognized as an official sector.
