Meso

The mills grind slow in a riverbed ghost town

A creature of the strange, deep waterways that cut through Annovus. While it’s plausible Meso is technically some degree of deity, such things have never been proven one way or the other- but either way, they were once revered by a small riverside town, offered prayers to keep the river flowing strong and the mills running well. Meso did what they could to fulfill these prayers- it wouldn’t do to simply take when the villagers asked for so little; Meso simply focused on keeping larger debris well away, and helped steady boats and other crafts that tried to cross the swift waters.  

But times changed, and eventually- slowly- the river dried up, and the town along with it. The remains still stand, deep within what is now Mistyoak Preserve, and Meso will sometimes visit still- after all, the river flows once again, and some of the mills still turn, and they hope that perhaps one day the town will be filled again, lively and plentiful as it had been so long ago.
