Lio Rutherford

 

 

Lio is the son of a noble duke who fell in love with an everyday commoner woman. They were wed and Lio was the son of two very happy lovers. However, the Rutherford family was not very pleased with this “lowly marriage” and needed Lio’s father to remarry, so they paid the maids and butlers to sneak poison into his wife and Lio’s food to imitate the effects of an illness to slowly kill them. Out of pure luck, Lio was a very picky eater at a young age and only ate his mother’s cooking which ended up saving his life. Suspicions rose within their household after his mother’s passing and while his father was grieving, Lio at a very young age studied hard to prove his father’s family of killing his mother. Lio’s father then encouraged Lio to become a knight to try and help the country and prevent other nobles from doing this.

Lio followed his father’s wishes, he doesn’t have much of a drive despite the fact that he’s an incredible genius and a prodigy nonetheless, but he’s very selfish and stubborn. He’s easily bribed with sweets, but he is a crucial part to rewriting the kingdom as their tactician.
