Lar'myraufein, or Fein, is a young drow woman who hails from the Underdark, a network of underground cities. She comes from a wealthy political family who have worked in the regulation of trade between the world above ground and the cities below for generations. The older of a set of twins, Fein is very intelligent and holds herself to high standards of responsibility and skill. She often comes off as very aloof and standoffish because of this. However, she longs to form connections with people, but outside of her family and political work, she struggles to do so. As a result, her closest friends are her brother, Les'vyldax, and her raven familiar, Nostradamus.
After the murder of her parents, Fein became even more withdrawn from others outside of her remaining family. Guilt and trauma cause her to cling to Dax desperately and more tightly than ever, and the two of them are incredibly codependent. The events of that night have stolen any confidence she had, and she lives in a constant state of nervousness and anxiety. She second guesses nearly every move she makes, and relies heavily on her brother for a sense of stability. She blames herself for the disaster that befell them, and that guilt affects nearly every moment of her life.

Appearance
Fein is a slender, stately, drow woman with deep purple skin and silver vitiligo on cheeks, ear tips, neck, shoulders, and fingertips. Her hair is hip length, silver, and pin straight, worn parted in the middle. Her ears are long and pierced 5 times, each earring often connected to the next with a delicate silver chain. Her nose is hooked and prominent, just like her mother's. The sclera of her eyes are pale lilac and slightly opalescent and her irises are white. She has no pupils. She has two small scars on her stomach from being stabbed.
Fein wears a few pieces of jewelry: her choker, her locket, and her circlet. Her choker is simple black velvet. She wears it to cover the scarring on her throat from the night her family was murdered. Her locket was her mother's. It's oval in shape and is emblazoned with the Oussrret family crest. She never takes off the locket or the choker. Her circlet was something she acquired to wear to the gala where her parents were murdered. It's a silver band with a pendant of an eye, and two smaller silver strands drape across her forehead. She wears it most of the time.
History
Fein was having hazy visions all her life, but they were hard to interpret and understand, though she did begin to realize that the things she was seeing were happening. Dax, her twin, would have them too, but he had an even harder time interpreting and remembering them than she did. She began to study wizardry on her own, hoping it would bring her clarity, and it did to some visions, but nothing changed as much as she’d have liked. Her first clear vision was of the murder of her parents, but being unaccustomed to such clear visions, she brushed it off as a nightmare. Fein and Dax’s parents were killed in an attempt to overthrow the Underdark’s government officials at a gala celebration to celebrate the electing of a new governor that they were attending with their family and other nobles of the Underdark. Insurrectionists set the building on fire and attacked the people inside. The twins managed to escape in the chaos, but saw their parents killed in front of them. They saw many people die, but don’t have any idea if there were survivors because they got away. The twins were attacked as well and suffered serious injuries. Fein had her throat slit (and now always wears a velvet choker to cover the scar) and Dax suffered many stab wounds primarily to his back as well as some to his chest and ended up dying from the combination of blood loss from so many stab wounds and the stress from carrying Fein. He left Fein on the altar at a temple of the Goddess Shar, bleeding out and seemingly without any hope of surviving. During his short time in death, Dax met Shar and made a pact with her- she would allow them to live and in exchange he would dedicate his kills in her name. She brought him back into the material plain along with restoring Fein to a stabilized condition. They survived and got away with nothing but what they had on them at the party. When their mother and father were killed, Fein realized that she’d been warned of it, and she completely blames herself for not doing anything to stop it or protect her family. She’s never told Dax because she fears he would never forgive her for the loss of their home and their parents, especially their mother. After their escape, Fein threw herself into her studies and focused on little else but her familiar and her brother, as well as honing her skills in divination, hoping that through her arcane knowledge she will be able to keep them safe. Now she relentlessly pursues every vision she has. When she hasn’t had one she waits to act on anything, unsure of what to do without the guarantees of knowing the outcome. She thinks everything through before she acts, knowing that her mistake cost her and her twin their family, security, and home.

Skills & Abilities
One as Two
A mythically rare occurrence, one soul is split between twins. While many traits between them may be similar, as two different bodies, their skills and abilities may vastly differ. Some scholars believe it is the soul taking advantage of being housed in two vessels. Fein and her twin brother share one soul between them and can communicate in their dreams as a single being called Ilmolvir. This is why the goddess Shar chose Dax as her Champion.
Psychic Visions
Fein's dreams are often premonitions or hazy visions of the future. They range from flashes of mundane moments she might happen to witness to catastrophic events. Her visions aren't often very clear, but her studies have helped her to focus and interpret them. Dax has these visions too as the twins dream together, but he is unable to remember them.
Spellcasting
Through her studies of divination, Fein began to pursue other aspects of the arcane as well. She dedicates a lot of her studies to learning spells that will help boost her brother's power.
Political Negotiation
Fein's father was an important diplomat in the Underdark, specializing in trade between their underground cities and the world above. At the time of his death, he was training Fein to follow in his footsteps.
Inventory
Locket[ sentimental ]
A heavy silver locket with an emblem of a figure 8 ouroboros surrounding an eye, the Oussrret family crest, on it. It belonged to her mother and she borrowed it the night of her parents' murder. It contains two portraits: one of her parents at their wedding, and one of the twins as newborns.
Spellbook[ Magical study ]
Fein keeps all of her spells compiled inside a book bound in purple dyed leather. A silver emblem of a snake decorates the cover.
Choker[ Coping ]
Fein always wears a black velvet choker to cover a large scar on her throat. It was slashed in her attempted murder the night her parents were killed. She hates to look at her scar, so she hides it from the world and herself.
Glasses[ necessity ]
Fein is farsighted and needs glasses to read. She has a small pince nez style pair of glasses that she keeps on her at all times, but only wears when she needs them.
Familiar
Nostradamus is Fein's raven familiar. He's a cheery and charismatic boy with a penchant for eating things birds shouldn't have. He loves to talk and speaks through mimicry, though he only uses single words to ask for his favorite things: snacks. He is fed a diet of chocolates, pancakes, and other sweets primarily by Dax. Because he's fey, this won't hurt him, but it does make him a little chunky.
Nostradamus has magical capabilities as well as being a cute little guy to have around. He's able to do tasks for Fein and they can communicate wordlessly. She's able to perceive through his senses as well, which is useful for things like scouting ahead into areas the twins are unsure about.

Fein's twin brother who holds the other half of their soul. She relies on him heavily for support, but they can also have fun together in moments of levity. He's her protector and her dearest friend. They've never been apart and without him she would quite literally have died with her parents. She loves him more than anything.

Madriira & Cal'vyr'qualen Oussrret
The twins' parents, called Mama and Tati, who were brutally murdered in front of them. The Oussrrets were a tight knit family who spent a lot of time together, so their loss has left a hole in Fein's heart that she feels is not only absolutely irreparable but also her fault.

Nostradamus
Fein's fey familiar and loyal companion, a chubby raven who loves to chat in mimicked words and sounds. He brings her comfort when she's sad and is always ready to help her out. He also loves to get up to mischief, so he's a bit of a handful, but he means everything to her.
Brother's Familiar
Pricolici
Dax's familiar, a large and elegant white doberman. She's aloof and proud, but Fein understands that. Pricolici is protective over her just as her twin is, and for that Fein is grateful. They have a mutual respect for one another, and though they aren't affectionate, they do have love for one another.
Great Grandmother
Vasxyra Zaughym
Fein's maternal great grandmother. She was the first to move the Zaughym family to the Dorrow, where Madriira, Fein's mother, was eventually born. She loved regeling the twins with stories of her escapades. Though she died when Fein was young, she remembers her fondly.
