Profile

Personality
Chama comes off big, silent, and intimidating due to his bulky build and social awkwardness. In truth he is very caring, if blunt, and strives towards showing his affection for those who get close to him. He is open-minded, though slow to accept new concepts, and tries his damnedest to accommodate and comfort anyone he doesn't meet in the ring.

Biography
Chama was born off of the Ki'Vut home world, Naullus. Instead, his home was a seedy space station. He was raised outside of their fervently religious society, which contributed to his social awkwardness, as Chama felt not only separate from other species but his own as well.

His parents, met with many hardships, placed Chama in an orphanage. While they made their way off the space station, he was adopted and raised by his new guardian first to be healthy and then to be a fighter. Although dealt with by an open palm to inspire obedience, it became a closed fist if he stepped out of line. As Chama grew stronger, he questioned his guardian more and more. By the time he was a teenager, the method had shifted to slavery. Many cage fights were forced upon him, often matching him against more modestly sized adults or other adolescents. They were brutal. Chama narrowly escaped many with severe internal wounds, sometimes having been forced to take a beating to rig the bets lest he be disciplined afterwards. Once he was clear of the most severe damage, he was forced back into the ring. Resentment flared within the young Ki'Vut.

The first chance he got, he won his master a huge jackpot, killed the man, stole the winnings, and fled. He'd successfully evaded the repurcusions  by being clever, buying people out, or killing them. The latter of the three became necessary once running had drained him of most of his fortune.

These actions were internally justified as self-defense, yet Chama carried his guilt all the same. He swore a silent vow that he'd not kill another being without necessary intent even as he stepped back into the ring to earn a living. Without the restraints of his dead master and with all the experience his childhood had gotten him, Chama made a name for himself. He experimented with the other males he met in the ring as well, finding masculinity to be rather alluring. After enough one night stands he rose his standards and set his sights on a more lasting relationship, though with no luck.

In his youth, Chama proved easy prey for the managers of the ring as well. They screwed him out of professional deals and gave him scraps, despite him becoming famous on the streets. Once he became privy to this, he left without a word and took most of the business with him. He haggled out more fitting deals with a larger ring.

With all the time in the world and some extra funds, he made his way to Naullus and went through his coming-of-age ceremony. The ritualistic markings and pericings were denied of him, but he already had his own scars to bear and speak of his life. When given the role of soldier, Chama nearly laughed. How fitting he was forced into the ring. The thrills and profit of it called to him. With no real tie to his people, the trip felt hallow. He returned to the space station and managed a living income.

During his ensuing fights, he met Haell. The poor alien crossed him on a particularly good night and was left beat up pretty bad. Realizing his brutality, Chama approached his opponent after the fact and offered dinner. Later that night the two crawled into bed and kickstarted a long, pleasurable friendship that would make them inseparable. Chama was hesitant to fight Haell afterwards, repelling match after match. After a bit of pressure from both Haell and the crowds, the two fought once more. Haell gave Chama the beating of a lifetime, but it only strengthened their bond and fueled a lovely rivalry.

Chama found himself conflicted once he found out Haell was open sexually. In response to this, Haell sat him down, talked it over, and then got Chama a bit of alone time with a good friend, Jikar, a head of security on the station. It proved very effective at loosening Chama up.

Thereafter, Chama returned to experimenting. He maintained his top-tier-fighter status and met with Haell often, finding a good life in his shit hole of a home.
