Redacted was born in Ponyville, but moved to Canterlot with his family when he was only a child. Now that he's older, he jumps between both towns as far as residence since he doesn't like to be away from his partner for too long (though mostly he goes to live with his boyfriend lol). His current appearance is due to a chemical/biological modification with an incident that happened (part of his backstory/lore).

On the outside Redacted looks very mean and scary, but on the inside he's just the opposite. As much as he doesn't look like it, he's a kind and reliable pony all around. Redacted isn't a very open pony due to past trauma from a few ponies that were in his life once before, so it takes a lot of time, patience, and reassurance to get him to open up (which is very rare). The only ponies he really opens up to the most are his two longest companions; his boyfriend Evergreen and his best friend Black Rose. It isn't hard to befriend him, the only obstacle is his intimidating looks, which seems to scare others off. This generally discourages him from time to time, so with that said other ponies shouldn't hesitate to try to make a connection with him! He's always open to new friends! :D
