Summary
Evergreen was a once-powerful diety of evergreen forests. In the initial years of the world's beginning, winter was a barren season cursed by death and famish. The diety Evergreen was summoned into existence to bring life to an otherwise desolate time. The evergreen plants provide nutrients to the inhabitants of the world. He serves as a symbol of resilience and immortality.
As deforestation plagues the continent, Evergreen continuously loses his source of power until he eventually succumbed to a mortal form. Evergreen now wanders the remaining forests, defending his home from intruders who intend to harvest the evergreen trees.
Although Evergreen remains a mortal, with enough followers, he could gain back his Deity form and begin to aid the restoration of the formerly abundant evergreen forests.
Variet is a land of many kinds, but the people have been disconnected based on whether they are Humankind or Magickind. Humans, the upper class, are taught not to associate with Magickind due to their unique, unpredictable powers. As a result of this, the kingdom has been separated. For the past 30 years, the Magickind have become a dying and uncommon race that dwell away from the comfort of the rich. |
