Koro is a slender, tall cat. He has short fur of varying shades of grey. His eyes are lavender, and have a smattering of freckles just below them. His features are a mix of sharp and delicate.

He stands at about 6 feet in height (not counting the ears). His features are a mix of sharp and delicate.

Koro is a person who enjoys puzzles that have definite answers. He enjoys science, psychology, etc, and hates philosophy. He likes to think about and solve problems for fun, and would definitely frequently be found on brain-teaser websites. He is adroit with machines of many kinds, enjoying pulling them apart and putting them together again(if there's a problem that needs solving, anyways -- he won't just break something for fun, he's too practical). He's a rather reticent person with most, and has a very small selection of those he feels close to.

About

OPENNESS : MEDIUM Koro is generally hesitant to try things that he feels he has no expertise in; he likes to at least have an idea of what he's getting into and how well he's going to be able to handle it. He doesn't hesitate to launch into new projects when he's familiar with the general workings of whatever he's tackling. If he feels comfortable with his knowledge of a car engine, he'll be very open to pulling apart a motorcycle. He enjoys taking on new problems, and one of his favorite things is to solve puzzles he hasn't had to solve before. He just likes to know he's prepared. He's open to change as long as there's warning beforehand.

Koro doesn't think of himself as a creative person. He is wrong, however. His creativity often lies in approaching complex issues: he can combine old practical ways of problem-solving with new ideas fairly successfully. He isn't great at thinking up new interesting ideas on the spot, but his tendency to regularly roll things over in his head works in his favor for combining old ideas in fresh ways.

One of Koro's favorite pastimes is to think. He loves going over complex problems in his head to while away the time, musing over what he had learned about in some random article he had read earlier that day, or pick through a science experiment he had been told about by a classmate. He tends to shy away from abstract problems with no definite answer, however. He doesn't like philosophy at all, and tends to get muddled around art that doesn't follow express guidelines. He likes writing that follows rules (haikus are fun and interesting to him, for example) but doesn't really like focusing on the abstract concept of creativity applied to words. He has a tendency to over-think things.

CONSCIENTIOUSNESS : HIGH Koro loves structure. He likes to plan out his day, plan out his projects, plan out his meals. He thrives on regularity. A little bit of variation is okay, but only because he's factored it in to his schedule. He's pretty prudent about finishing projects, doesn't like procrastinating if he can avoid it (which he usually can -- he has his bad days like everyone else).

Koro is also not an impulsive person. He generally thinks things through carefully, for a long time, before acting on them. He gets flustered and doesn't handle it well when something is sprung on him and he is expected to react quickly. Generally, if he can, he will hedge for more time. He applies this method of thinking through everything to his social interactions, as well -- which does not mesh well with an impatient person. He likes to make sure that he isn't causing harm to others with his actions. He does have missteps with this, though, despite his thoughtfulness. He has a tendency to misinterpret what another person wants or would want from him, and acts on these assumptions.

EXTROVERSION : LOW Koro needs a lot of time to recharge after interacting with most people. He is easily drained by trying to keep up with the fast-paced, abstract, unseeable thinking processes of others. He generally feels more comfortable observing than participating, and comes across as somewhat aloof as a result. He's absolutely terrible at small talk.

The one exception is that he is great at talking as soon as he gets onto a subject he's interested in. If you bring up cars, he will launch into a long conversation about the differences between engines in a random model of car that was popular in the 90s. He has a lot of information on random subjects packed into his head, and is ready to unleash that on random passerby at any given moment.

His introversion doesn't apply as much to people he is extremely close to -- he can hang around a very select few for a long time and gain energy from these interactions. The people he feels this level of comfort with are usually few and far between, so he sometimes tends to overextend both himself and the other person in the beginning of these matchups.

AGREEABLENESS : MEDIUM-LOW Koro has a hard time empathizing with other people unless their experiences match his own closely enough, but he tries really hard to get it. He's better at sympathizing, though he tends to be overly blunt and honest for most peoples' tastes. He doesn't generally go out of his way to help those that he doesn't consider himself close to. This is generally out of a mix of "it would take too much energy" and "I don't know them well enough to provide the Correct Advice."

He's not really competitive with others, but it's more because he's internally focused than for any altruistic reasons. He wants to improve himself in a general sense. He doesn't really care what other people are doing outside of his very small range of vision. He's not malicious, he's not mean; he just doesn't really think about most others the way he thinks about himself. He doesn't worry about it too much.

NEUROTICISM : MEDIUM Koro has had depression to varying degrees for most of his life. I'll add more on this...later.

He deals with stress by putting his head down and trying to power through it -- and, failing that, retreating to the extreme.

Fun facts

[add bands]

He prefers renaissance art over modern art, though he also gets flustered around nudity. Generally likes religious art despite not growing up religious -- just finds it interesting. His parents were both atheists.

Romantic at heart.

He leans towards being pescatarian, though he doesn't hold to it firmly. He's not big on beef.

Background

I created him roughly around October 22, which is why that's his birthday. Also, he was originally a character for a post-apocalypse cat roleplay group. He was obsessed with crows and had a VERY edgy backstory that I have since toned down, for the sake of realism. He's grown a lot since then.
