Her skin is quite tan (primarily coming from her father's side of the family) and has light brown eyes. Her black hair is trimmed into a short bob, with the tips being dyed into a vibrant red ombre; this was something she chose to do herself before coming to Japan as a way to signify this being a new start for her. Outside of her standard Namimori Middle girls uniform, she is normally seen wearing a black and red hoodie with the number 92 [[ this is gonna be changed to her 53 when I do those updated refs end me ]] positioned in the center and white accents lining the sides of the torso and upper arm. The outfit is usually completed either with a pair of shorts and black leggings (or simply with the leggings themselves if she's lounging around) and simple black and white lace up sneakers. Not being one to accessorize very much, the most others would see her with is a ring (later to become the signature Neronotte Sky Ring passed down to her), necklace, or small hair accessory. In the future, Ami has prompted to allow her hair to grow long once again, choosing to not continue dying her tips in hopes of coming across as a bit more professional (however, she does go back and forth with the idea of doing it once again due to it becoming her signature). The suit she wears was designed by her Lightning Guardian, Hana Seong, and consists of a white collared shirt with a complementary red ribbon around the neck under a simple black button up black suit jacket, black skirt, white leggings, and black shoes. PersonalityDescribed as quite outgoing and simplistic, Ami is generally seen as someone who likes to take life by the horns and live it to the fullest. While this can cause her to be quite reckless at times, her charismatic demeanor and seemingly friendly aura tends to attract people to her. She can be a bit overwhelming at times though, causing some to have a hard time dealing with her usually loud presence. Between that and her seemingly large ego, she has a habit of butting heads with people similar to her in personality. This can cause her to sort of resort to a more childish response, often spewing insults or seemingly empty threats. It may take a while (with a lot of brooding on her part included), but she makes it a note to apologize to whoever she was having the problem with after reflecting on her actions and talking things through with her confidant and older brother figure, Alex Parisi. Due to the responsibilities she holds on her shoulders, she does understand that the way she is right now isn't exactly the makings of a mafia boss. It takes a bit of effort, but she's trying her best to change for the better. Though of course, she is known to still fall into her old habits. While she does enjoy her position as next-in-line, it does cause her to reflect on the future at some points. She has faith that she can grow into someone people can look up to as a leader, but some days she can't help but worry that she might not be the best person for the job. Ami understands that she still has years to go before she officially has to take over, so she wants to use that time to grow as someone who can lead the Neronotte Famiglia with pride and honor. To her, if she was the one they chose to take the throne, there had to be a reason. There are times where she feels like the entire thing is a hassle, but all in all, she has fun and actually enjoys training. Relationships with others mean the world to Ami, so she tries to take it upon herself to form as many bonds as possible. The closer she gets to someone, the more she feels obligated to do whatever it is in her power to protect them. Her guardians are what she considers like a second family to her, and they absolutely mean the world to her. She's had many friends in the past, but those specific few are ones that she's been through everything with. Even if it costs her her life, she would do anything to ensure their safety before her own. In return, she can generally count on them to bring her back down whenever she seemingly goes off the wall in one way or another. Because of her life inside of the Neronotte Estate, her experience outside of mafia life is a bit limited, making getting to know new people a bit awkward due to the shift in environment. Although her charisma does help her along, she does seem to be very good at getting people into trouble because of this disconnect in what she doesn't realize she can and can't do. Ami's playful nature leads her to assign nicknames to many of those she gets close to. While some she just prefers to use honorifics with (addressing Takeshi as 'Yamamoto-kun' and Ryohei as 'Sasagawa-senpai'), others she takes great joy in getting a bit more creative (addressing Tsuna as Tsucchi as a joke every now and then and Gokudera as 'Idiot Octopus' initially and 'Gokkun' later on mainly to poke fun at him). To her, nicknames are sort of a bond in themselves. They convey closeness and a bond that may or may not be visible on the surface. Although some can be a bit insulting, she usually never means any harm with them unless she's annoyed or upset. In the future, Ami seems to have mellowed out quite a bit, often shown to be a lot more down to earth and calculating than her younger self. After finally taking over the position of Neronotte Decimo, she took it upon herself to work hard to become the most understanding boss she could. She still does make jokes every now and then, but they are a lot more tame and sporadic in order to keep her subordinates more at ease. Her smile is said to be a lot softer and her apparent rough streak has ended, leaving the now polite and lighthearted woman Neronotte Famiglia now calls their leader. History Born to Marzia Costella– the sister of the current 9th Generation Neronotte Boss– and her (still adjusting) husband Lucien Dubois, Ami was always under constant surveillance by various members of the family. Due to Cinzia having no children of her own, both she and her sister knew that very well that this child was currently the only eligible heir. Because of this, Ami grew up surrounded by many considered to be godparents and family friends. She was a curious child, they admit, asking questions time and time again why so many people would be over at a time and why they lived so far out from the rest of the city. The answer she got was always the same; always being told that her aunt was a very important person and everyone worked with her. Sure, hints and small things were dropped here and there, but nothing to give the girl enough information to piece everything together. Even if it was only for a bit, they wanted to keep her out of their dangerous lives until she was old enough to understand at least the basics of her situation. Once the girl had reached 10 years of age, her mother and father sat her down with her aunt and (in the simplest way possible) explained to the girl the gist of their family's life and legacy. Of course, she was confused for the most part, but she also seemed very... excited? That could have been attributed to her young age and inability to understand the full situation, but Cinzia ended up laughing and stating that it was more than likely just her personality, seeing it as very much welcome as an inheritor. Being home-schooled was really the only option she had, so any education she received mainly came from specialized hired tutors as well as Cinzia's Guardians themselves. Little by little, they would inject lessons that would benefit her for her future inheritance. Ami had gotten used to it over the years, but every part of her wished she could've gone to public school if not just to make friends with more kids her age. It was actually during this time she was introduced to Daniela and Alex, both already receiving training in their respective fields at the time. While it was only the two of them, she was still happy; the three became very close, spending quite a lot of time together (usually under the supervision of one of Cinzia's subordinates). The following years consisted of hard training and preparation for Ami's inevitable take over in the future. With Cinzia supervising her tutoring in relations and weapons training under both Alex and the current head of Ombre Lunare, her time was constantly taken up in one way or another. While it was quite rough on her, she tried as hard as she could to keep up. During this time, Cinzia was given information that strange activity had picked up in a town in Japan known as Namimori. According to their intel, sightings of the infamous hitman Reborn had been reported, giving them the hint that it was possible that the 10th Vongola Boss candidate had been chosen. Although it was an odd time, it did give her an idea. Meeting with other various high-ranking members of the family, the decision was made to send Ami to Namimori to meet with the chosen candidate in hopes of striking an alliance with the Vongola. Despite the two families having worked together for a short time in the past, the two families were not exactly connected. Cinzia not only saw this as a good chance to broaden their circle, but also a chance for her niece to broaden her horizons and hopefully make friends her age outside of the junction and their family. With preparations made, Ami made her way to Namimori with Alex and Daniela in tow. Due to the girls' ages, supervision was needed, but none that would interfere with their young soon-to-be boss and her mission. Alex was chosen to serve as the girls' surrogate guardian and caretaker thanks to his status as an actual legal adult. On the side however, Cinzia (after being suggested so by Marzia) enlisted the help of a high-ranking government official living in the area with past ties to their family. He had a daughter Ami's age that she had met briefly who attended Namimori Middle along with the apparent boss candidate, so plans were made for the two to transfer to this school in hopes of surveying this person closely and attempt to tie the two families together in a much stronger alliance. Varia ArcDue to the nature of their situation, the alliance proposal they were tasked with presenting had to be postponed. Although Ami was a bit disappointed that they had to wait even longer than they already had (mainly due to her own fault), she and her Guardians saw this as their time to watch Tsuna and his Guardian candidates in action. At this point, Ami herself actually had very little experience in battles, so watching them served as quite the learning experience for her. Being unable to actually interfere, they did what they could after the battles to help the injured after each round. She saw their appearance there more as moral support, seeing it was really all they could do at the time. During the battle for the Rain Ring, Ami surprised Tsuna a bit by saying that she felt lucky that she didn't have to compete for her place because watching them now has made her realize how much more she still has to learn. [[ tba ]] Future ArcUnlike the rest, Ami and her guardians were not switched with their future selves. Instead, they are accompanied by a 24-year-old Ami aiding them from the sidelines. At this time, she has assumed her role as Neronotte Decimo. Because of her family's expertise at gathering information, she does what she can by offering spies and other undercover operatives in hopes of doing what she can to help the Vongola in their fight against the Millefiore. Although she would like to join them on the field, she and the others decided that it was best for her to send her help from afar in order to avoid any unneeded casualties.
