PROFILE
Shadow is a somewhat reclusive Houndoom pokemorph/gijinka. She was raised with a pack of wild Houndooms & Houndours, but after a change in leadership that was not in her favor, was forcefully exiled and has been wandering around on her own ever since. She does not have a human form, nor can she fully turn into a Houndoom. She is stuck the way she is. She can, however, use several moves; Smog, Feint Attack, Embargo, and Fire Spin. Her moves are based on helping her survive and evade or be able to run away efficiently.
She doesn't really fit in anywhere and doesn't have any family or friends to her name. She doesn't want to be tied down anywhere if she can help it, so she keeps humans and pokemon alike at a distance. Mostly confident in her ability to take care of herself, she doesn't want to have to think about anyone but herself. However, she does have a caring heart at times and has been known to step in to help younger Pokemon and humans out when needed. She can come off as being a bit motherly when needed, but as soon as you get used to her warm, friendly face -- she's up and disappeared, never to be seen again.

It's not uncommon for Shadow to not want to exchange detailed greetings with others. Being thought of as shy is a common misconception for her. She could speak up and have a conversation, she just chooses not to. The less she has to deal with others, the better off she feels she'll be. In most cases, she'll try not to take an interest in anything going on, though there have been a few exceptions over the years.
From both pokemon and humans alike, Shadow has garnered a distrust. Her trust of pokemon disappeared when she was exiled from her pack over a decade ago, and her trust of humans has never really been there. She has seen the looks and glances she gets, the way others speak about her when they think she can't hear them, and how she is physically treated in some of the rougher places she's traveled through. Everything others have done to have, have been for their personal gain. As such, she believes that the only way for her to deal with the life she's been handed is to always assume everyone and everything else has selfish interests, especially when trying to involve her.
Despite being as aloof and cynical as she is, she does still care about others; namely young Pokemon and humans. Being a genetic irregularity, she was unable to have any form of offspring of her own, but that doesn't stop her hormones from kicking in if she sees a baby pokemon or child in need. She has been known to split any food she receives, put herself in harm's way, and provide shelter to both as needed.

TRIVIA
- Shadow is based off of/inspired by one of the earliest Pokemon-esque characters I roleplayed as briefly, circa 2008.
- I haven't created a new Pokemon-themed character from scratch with a lot of thought put into them in probably at least 6-7 years.
- Shadow is the first character I have put a moodboard together for. It's... not overly great.
- The Houndour/Houndoom family is one of my favorite pokemon
