Backstory:

Hotaru was born the older twin out of her and Moriko. From a young age she was given the responsibilities of being the older twin, expected to watch out for Moriko and keep her safe. As Moriko was very troublesome, Hotaru frequently got into trouble on behalf of the other girl.

At 12 years old, Moriko began to resent Hotaru, seeing her as weak, and began branching out into other groups of people, leaving Hotaru on her own

Since then, Hotaru has been on her own due to difficulties speaking to new people and making friends.

At sixteen she was in a car accident that killed her father and put her mother into a coma. Her and Moriko survived but Hotaru suffered a head injury that lead to her developing a Mild Cognitive Impairment. During her time in the hospital is when she met Obsession, who was in the form of a rat that kept sneaking into her room.

After a rogue subclass broke into the hospital, she found out that the rat was a Servamp and formed a contract with him

Personality:

In many occasions, Hotaru has been called 'a cry baby' or 'pathetic', due her natural over emotional state. She doesn't deal well with anyone saying anything negative to her and has difficulty holding her tears back.

Along with that, due to her mild cognitive impairment, she is incredibly forgetful and frequently gets frustrated because of this

 

Quirks:

Carries a notebook with her all the time, so she can write down things she wants to remember.
