Aruki has a high level of curiosity and thirst for mysteries. Ever since he was a child, he was taken captive by mysteries - detective novels, detective shows, and so on. He likes the feeling of encountering mysteries and try to solve them. This interest continues until adulthood. As his intellect is above his average peers, he likes to use his brain. He is also a human calculator. He likes math because it is, in a way, like mysteries - waiting to be solved.

He can be pretty dishonest about certain things, but oftentimes than not, he wears his heart on his sleeve and may appear to be quite naive. He holds his own beliefs even as the world berates him for it.

Likes: Math, mysteries, mystery stories, cooking.

Dislikes: Insects, ghosts, unsolved mysteries.

Plant

His plant (flower) motif is white chrysanthemum, a flowering plants of the genus Chrysanthemum family Asteraceae. Chrysanthemums start blooming in early autumn. It's known as the flower of November.

White chrysanthemum symbolizes "truth and loyal love", but in China, Japan, and Korea of East Asia, it symbolizes adversity, lamentation, and/or grief. In some other countries, it represents honesty.

Trivia

• Originally a detective opposing and chasing after Hana, but they eventually join hands and then he falls in love with her. Although he's still detective-like in other universes, how he develops feelings for her becomes different.
• Somehow got his tsundere trait from Aris.
• He's based on a combination of Akise Aru (Mirai Nikki) and Arago Hunt (AR∀GO), down to his name, general appearance, and detective-like qualities, but evolved with a different story and personality.
• If he has a surname, it'd be Shimotsuki (霜月) which means November.
