Family/Situation: 

Parents: Jacinta Castellano-Ramirez, Martín Herrera-Sanchez. A lawyer (mom) and politician (dad) who don't have time for their 3 children, so the eldest middle kid has to make an attempt to raise his brothers instead. 

Older Brother: Nicolás-Antonío "Toní" Herrera-Castellano. A NOT Graduate, who tried to raise his younger brothers but lost patience quickly. He and Drue have a strained relationship, but family means enough to both of them for them to keep in contact. 

Younger Brother: Angelo-Marcus Herrera-Castellano. An 11 year old who probably isn't a weapon, even if both of his brothers are. He's really, really bored.

Sense of Humor: Secretly a fan of puns, will not admit it under anything less than pain of death, though.

Likes

● Cooking! He loves making things, especially Pastas and Pastries.

● Soft and Cute things! He's a fan of plushies, blankets, and pillows. 

● Cute Boys! Be they dogs or human men, Drue is a fan.

● Schoolwork! Drue likes being busy and having stuff to occupy his thoughts and hands. He's not that smart, but he does his best!

● Holding Hands! Shhhh, it's embarrassing!

Dislikes

● Loud and/or High-pitched noises. Ever since his meister's and their friends' deaths… he's really started hating screaming, unexpected noises, and startling shrieks. Horror movies are not his thing. 

● Fire. As above, so below. Chouko, the witch they were supposed to defeat, liked setting fires.

● Screaming. He… he really cannot handle screams, even if they're happy. 

● Gummy Candies. Bad texture. He hates them.

● Bugs. Creepy, crawling things. He has a newfound hatred of butterflies. 

Backstory 

Drue’s family was originally from Spain. He’s never been, but his older brother can remember leaving the country, if not much of living there. Their parents are a pair of hardworking, ambitious politicians- well, their mother is a lawyer, but what’s really the difference, there? 

Their dad spends a lot of his time campaigning and rubbing shoulders with important people, and their mother has cases and clients and things she’s always working on, so they’re absent most of the days out of the year. Toni figured out pretty quickly that he’d need to make sure his little brothers got fed and clothed and went to school properly, or they’d all be disappointing their parents. Drue followed Toni’s example, but has an easier time coaxing their younger brother into listening to them. Angelo doesn’t really care about their parents, is the thing.

When Toni and Drue presented as weapons, late at 23 and 15 respectively, their parents were sort of flustered by the whole thing. Sure, you can learn to control your weapon form just enough to not shift accidentally, and live life like a normal person. But anyone who knows that they were weapons could easily judge them, if they pursued careers like law or politics or even a doctorate. Toni picked that first option anyway, though his planned career path is still up for debate. Drue picked going full ham on being a weapon, going into the EAT classes and making his way towards every ambitious weapon’s lofty goal: Becoming a Death Scythe. 

On Valentine’s Day, his meister and the two friends he’d made during classes went to defeat a witch they’d claimed as their target. Drue had been brought up to 99 souls, and he and Li’l Drew had promised Jordan they’d help her and James get there, once everything goes as it should.

Needless to say, it did not go to plan.

The witch was a lot smarter than her warrant implied, and much, much more dangerous than ‘butterfly’ sounded. Chouko Hypnos was on a level much higher than she’d been assumed to be, and had to be reclassified after the deaths of Drue’s meister and the other pair they’d asked for help. Drue only managed to survive because Li’l Drew realized she could pass him off as a piece of scenery, and stabbed the end of his pole into the ground. Chouko hadn’t looked at him twice.

He broke an ankle trying to free himself, but his physical therapy has all finished up, and he’s.. Ready, he guesses, to get back to school. He hasn’t processed his grief, just gotten progressively angrier at himself and anyone who asks him about it.
