Hopskotch, aka Marco Monroe is a 17 year old boy with purple hair and pink eyes accompanied by heavily noticeable bags underneath. He's 5'4 with a slim build and he prefers to wear a face mask as much as possible to hide behind, especially at school due to his reputation as the former villain. He's quiet and not very sociable. For the most part he just wants to prove that he can be a hero and rise from his villainous background, but he has a bit of a problem controlling his temper due to villain angst and parental neglect and he is known to jump into fights on campus easily with those who mistrust and antagonise him due to his past, often making things look worse for himself. He doesn't have a very good reputation in school and is seen as an outcast for the most part, word spread fast about his history.
He's from a family of 2 parents are one of 5 siblings. Being the only sibling who didn't inherit the family's powers, he was overlooked and neglected by his parents and bossed around and looked down on by his other siblings. In a desperate plea for attention and to feel strong he turned to petty crime, which soon became full fledged acts of villainy. After a while he span out of control and his parents had had enough, kicking him out of their home and disowning their now villain son. Hopskotch now had no choice but to rely on paid villainous jobs to survive, eventually joining an organised group of villains and being taken under the wing by the leader who he eventually came to see as a father figure, having been neglected by his own parents for his whole life.
He joined his hero team and the academy after he was captured by heroes in a certain skirmish along with those who he was working with, as the only teenager he was offered a chance to reform from villainy at the academy.
