Bor's Links
Calls her mother often, and gossips to no end. She appreciates her life advice, but still hasn't told her about her girlfriend, Etta.
Bess is extremely proud of her daughter's accomplishments and independence. She senses that Bor is keeping secrets from her, but if she knew that her daughter was a lesbian, she would accept her through and through.
There's something to be said of unconditional love. It's powerful and moving, and can bring a woman to her knees, in more ways than one. What Bor feels for Etta drives her to work harder, better herself, and chase the small victories, like a smile in the early morning, or the 'fwap' sound Etta's braid makes as it swings around her head.
Bor will laugh and smile for everyone, but she speaks softest around Etta, and in hushed tones you can hear the ardent love she has for the smaller woman.
Not many people know where Etta came from, what she's doing in Lestallum, or where she tends to disappear to when the sun goes down. Though you could say the same about Bor, you could also say that were she to ask, Bor would be one of the few who Etta would tell all of her little secrets to. Her big ones, as well. Etta feels comfortable around the woman, safe and warm. Like she could charge at anyone and anything and come out unscathed--though whether that would be due to Etta's own abilities or the fact that Bor would be there punching things at her side whose to say.
Regardless, her heart beats solely for Bor, and Etta is more than willing to become the best her she can be, and then some, to stay by Bor's side. There are few on this planet who could even begin to climb close to the level of emotional connection they have.
