she has an incredible focus and formidable work ethic, known for traits such as perseverance, determination, and self-reliance (despite being a princess). despite being reliable to do what she says she will, she does it all with a strong sense of purpose; if she's going to do it, it's going to be done well, not half-heartedly. she views her body as a living temple that must be cared for in every way; physically and spiritually., which is part of the reason why her home life is so important to her. she wants her environment to provide a sense of peace and comfort, everything around her having practical purpose while still being comfortable.

born into fire nation royalty, she's been able to live a lavish life since the moment she entered this world. she doesn't like being pampered though, preferring to show a sense of independence and do things herself, which those working in the palace didn't like, as it conflicted with their jobs and values. nandi's mother, queen lhamo, grew sick when nandi was only four years old, and the queen passed away approximately a year later, despite attempts of healing from all over the globe. since h er mother's deaht, nandi's father and older brother both have become incredibly protective of the young girl. it became clear that she was the next avatar only recently, a few months before her eighth birthday. a vampire had infiltrated the palace during the crown prince philani's birthday party, and had attempted to kidnap the princess. without thinking, little nandi acted on impulse, trapping the vampire in an entombment of rock from the ground beneath them. the fire princess had earthbended.
