Backstory

Past

From a young age, Fauna loved the outdoors. Since her family lived in a little house near the woods, she got to pick flowers, foraging and help doing little handmade things like clothing and furniture.
Especially her love for sewing clothing would later become all she wanted to do with her mother.
As she got older she often offered to stitch up holes of her friends clothes and got complimented on her pretty, selfmade dresses, that her teachers noticed.
One of them even asked her if she would want to help decorate the school yard with banners for their next school festival and she happily agreed. To no one's surprise her handmade banners were a total success.

Her talent only grew with the passing years but since she had to be homeschooled after 6th grade, her talent sadly got unnoticed by anyone else than family and a few friends again.
Homeschooling also opened up a way bigger problem for her though. Isolated as she already lived before and now without regular contact to kids her age, Fauna kept more and more to herself until even the shortest conversation got incredibly difficult for her to keep up. She got uncomfortable with some of the fabric she was normally working with and couldn't stay concentrated for longer than 10 minutes with anything other than sewing.
As her parents got worried however and set up a doctor's appointment they quickly found out that not her isolation was causing her change in behavior but a whole other diagnosis, she was neurodivergent (what exactly is unknown since her parents didn't have the money at the time for proper diagnostics and therapy.)
Relieved that nothing was wrong with their child, Fauna's parents switched up their methods as on how to best handle her and even if it was a difficult change at first without further help, the little family somehow managed to return to a normal daily life again after some months.

Present

After finishing up her studies, Fauna immediately began to gather information surrounding anything related to sewing, clothes and fashion that her mother had to stop her and help guide her in the right direction for a career in that sort of field or else she would have researched for months on end with no result.
Eventually she found a nice shop in the nearby city offering classes in the late evenings.
Fauna got on great with the nice old lady teaching her and even made some new friends in form of others interested in trying out the classes, one of them being Michelle.
The two met up for nearly every class for several months until Michelle decided to fully commit to her writing career and thus stopped showing. The two still met up plenty of times however even after classes and grew very close.
As they continued meeting however Fauna started to get more and more flustered in Michelle's company until she finally realized she had developed serious feelings for her. After she found out Michelle felt the same way about her, the two tried out a relationship but after a few months they came to a conlusion that their feelings as lovers faded again and just stayed best friends instead.

After over a year in training, Fauna finally finished her degree and soon got recruited by the nice old lady she took the classes from.
Everything was perfect; She got her dream job, a best friend and plenty of things she loved to be around in the shop but sadly this happieness came to a halt as the lady, her boss, died of old age later that same year.
Fauna was devastated as she now lost one of the best guardians she ever met and on top of that had to run the shop alone.
As Michelle too recently got out of a dark place herself all thanks to Fauna's help, the woman offered her support as well by helping her out in the shop and staying over at her place if she got too anxious to be alone.
So with her best friend's support Fauna soon got out of her hole again and was ready to fully commit to running the shop on her own as the owner.

Future

After a year or so of running her shop, Michelle confronted her over her single life, despite not being in a relationship either at that point in time-
Soon she encouraged Fauna to go out looking in cafe's and little parks for potential girlfriend material since these were the only places other than home and her shop she was comfortable in.
Even if she managed to brush her off after a few weeks, Fauna still took her words by heart and kept her eyes peeled. The only problem though was that she tended to still get overly flustered around any woman she was interested in.
Lucky for her, exactly this behaviour was what broke the ice between her and an attractive goth girl...

Facts

• Fauna is neurodivergent
• She owns a comfort item in form of her old bunny plush. After getting together with her girlfriend she also got a second one, a pink kitty pillow she got as a gift from her one day.
• She has a lot of empathy that it sometimes gets draining for her if people vent too much in front of her.
• Despite not owning any pets herself, she loves animals and every one she encountered so far build up trust with her pretty quickly.
• For some reason she has a deep connection to fairies-

Relationships

Rebel [ Future Girlfriend ]

Being instantly overwhelmed near attractive women, Fauna almost made a fool out of herself when Rebel entered her shop. Lucky for her the woman didn't mind her behaviour at all, in fact she even thought it was adorable. She didn't only love the dresses in the shop but also found the owner pretty attractive so she shot her shot and after a few visits asked her out for a date.

Michelle [ Best Friend ]

When Michelle was at her all time low, Fauna was there and cared for her. These few months brought them so close together that they're like sisters at this point. Fauna only opens up to Michelle and couldn't imagine a better friend than her.

Primrose [ Close Friend ]

Primrose is the owner of a little flower shop near her town, Fauna loves to visit. She feels at ease in her presence since her behaviour reminds her a lot of herself growing up. She makes sure to visit her often so she can always come by for a chat and to add another house plant to her collection.

Hina [ Close Friend ]

Hina works at Rosalie's shop as well so it was only a matter of time until Fauna met her too. While struggling with her never ending flow of energy sometimes, she does really enjoy being in her company as Rosalie always manages to cheer her up with a simple smile.

Ellen [ Close Friend ]

Ellen was the one referring Fauna's shop to Rebel so Fauna is still gratefull to this day for basically matching her with her future wife. Despite everything she still sometimes gets intimidated by her grumpy attitude as she fears she did something to upset her. Luckily this is never the case but Fauna definitely will need some time to be able to look through Ellen's facade.

Cedric [ Good Friend ]

The two met while Cedric was on the run from the cops and hid in her shop. She covered for him since she thought him out to have good intentions despite him being a criminal. Cedric couldn't have been more thankful for her kindness that day and continues to visit her in her shop regulary, sharing stories about his heists and later even his girlfriend.
