Junpei

Junpei appeared one day when an old man went out to fish. This lonely old fisherman held a good luck charm in the shape of a frog, a charm he received very long ago by someone special to him. Said frog charm transformed into a small boy, who goes by the name of Junpei. He now lives with the old fisherman in a small port town in a rural part of Japan.

Junpei was thought to originally be a charm for good luck, but actually he is a charm that brings comfort to those seeking it. He's a companion to make those lonely not be alone anymore. The old fisherman's wish for someone to talk to seemed to have brought Junpei to life.

He takes the form of a 12 year old boy and typically wears bright green and tan clothes, keeping his frog theme no matter what. He likes the help the old man with chores around the house and fish, and has many hobbies related to the outside (such as bug catching and flower collecting). Because he lives with the fisherman and has a very familial relationship with him, Junpei likes to call him Gramps..

Overall, Junpei is just a very friendly and energetic kind kid who will talk to anyone he comes across and help those in need. He is always ready to make new friends and make people feel less alone in the world.
