Magma Slime

This slime subspecies makes its home within magma and lava, hence its  name. As its food sources are limited, it tends not to grow very large.  While rare to encounter outside of volcanoes, after an eruption they  have been known to be displaced. As their core can explode if damaged,  the recommended procedure for handling one found outside its normal  habitat is to freeze it with ice magics and then relocate it to the  nearest volcano.
