Story

Setareh had always felt like an outsider due to his ability to detect lies. It was a burden that he carried with him, one that made him feel isolated and different from everyone else. His parents, Vincent and Ariadna, had raised him and his twin sister Sitarah in a loving environment, but they couldn't shield Setareh from his ability. As he grew older, Setareh became more and more determined to understand his unique talent.
That's when he met Imani, an old woman who owned a flower shop. Imani had an ability of her own, one that caused her great pain. She believed in a goddess who had given her this cruel ability for a reason. Setareh found solace in Imani's belief in a higher power, and he too began to believe that his ability was a gift from a divine force. He immersed himself in Imani's religion, praying every night and seeking answers to his questions.
However, Setareh's newfound beliefs caused tension with his atheist father Vincent. The two would argue regularly about Setareh's faith, with Vincent struggling to understand why his son was turning to religion.

One day, Setareh's sister Sitarah convinced him to go to a concert with her. Setareh wasn't particularly interested in the music, but he went along anyway. That's when he saw her - the lead singer, Midori. She was like a fairy, with a voice so soft and beautiful that it took Setareh's breath away. But what really struck him was the honesty in her songs. Setareh could detect no lies in her lyrics, and he was immediately drawn to her.
Setareh fell in love with Midori, and he found himself attending every one of her concerts. He would listen to her sing and feel his burdens lifted, if only for a short time. Through Midori, Setareh began to see that honesty was a virtue that was worth fighting for, and he started to embrace his ability to detect lies. With Midori's music as his inspiration, Setareh learned to use his ability for good, exposing lies and fighting for the truth. And then, one day when Setareh helped Imani out, Midori entered the flower shop...

His Ability

› Lie Detector
Some Gemdolls like Setareh have a glas element somewhere on their body where their blood is visible (Setareh's ears). They allow Gemdolls to use magic.
Setareh is able to detect lies, but it's limited to spoken ones. He's blind for any written lies.

Trivia

› Even though he has wings, Setareh is pretty bad at flying and manages only very short distances
› Usually wears his zipper open because he likes the looks of it
› The inside of his zipper has something that looks like a miniature galaxy in it. He doesn't like it being touched
› Age judged by his appearance: 18 years

About the species Gemdoll

› Gemdoll is a closed species by Withy!
› Every Gemdoll has three important traits: doll joints, at least one mist ring (around their chest) and a gem on their chest which is their heart.
› The color of a Gemdoll's gem, mist ring, and blood is always the same.
› Age is just a number for Gemdolls. In most cases, they're born as an adult and never grow old, but Setareh is an exception. He was born as a baby and grew like a human.
› Gemdolls don't have the need to eat or drink. They do it just for fun.
› There are different materials which a Gemdoll consists of. Setareh is made of fabric and metal.
