Toshiko Noariko - known by few around the world, though in comparison is known by many in the scientific community. Primarily studying the cognitive state of minds, specifically in rodents, they have helped imply, compare, and discover breakthroughs that can be applied to other animals and even humans, to an extent. Social behaviors, functionality, there is more to be discovered of the mind - and the brains behind these operations/conducted studies is that of a 17-year old demigal. While their studies cover a wide variety of rodents of all shapes and sizes, Toshiko heavily gravitates towards rats - a favorite animal of theirs. Some can’t help but wonder if they’ve modeled their own appearance after them, or if it was a natural transition of being around them for so long. Nevertheless, many seek out their hand in assisting others with their own studies in similar subjects, to which they have more than proven to be of value for.

• Meant to be simple, keeping in the greys with exceptions to their piercings and the center of their eyes.

Meant to ironically have long and tangly hair, in contrast to what a rat typically has.

• They're a giant rat that makes all of the rules.
• Their name was initially going to be Molly! Though I decided to keep it to Japanese, so to reference this, Molly is the name of one of their primary pet rats.
• The name Molly itself was meant to come from beloved fictional characters like Molly from Animal crossing, and Mollymauk from Critical Role.
• Toshiko's name roughly translates to "quick, clever child", "law/rule", and "love, affection".

Pets
While The Noariko Facility of Behavioral Studies hosts a variety of rodents, from hamsters to even capybaras, Toshiko gravitates mostly towards rats, and even brought four into their home to keep as personal pets; Molly, Lucy, Grub, and Boots.
Family
Toshiko is an only child, living with only their animal companions and parents. Their mother is Hinako Noariko, who's focus is Social and Behavioral functions of the cognitive mind. She is also the CEO and primary head of operations of the Noariko Facility. Her husband, Shin Noariko, is more passive and deals with a lot of secretary work and transgressions, and focuses on the literal wiring and works of the mind in correlation with one's body.
The Noariko Facility of Behavioral Studies (NFBS)
Perhaps your character might or might not be familiar with this facility - a big name for a particular subject of study. The NFBS is a multi-purpose building with four primary branches and two secondary branches, and is directly connected to the Noariko Household (though their house forbids entry unless specifically authorized by a family member directly). Many of the rodents under their care are rescued, and upon completion are often rotated out to be adopted by other families at non-profit and no-kill shelters and centers.
