Bio
Mari had a fairly unremarkable life. She was raised in the suburbs by her father (alone). She didn't waste time trying to be popular, and was content with a small group of friends she could talk about books with. She was a kind person all around.
Her whole life changed on her 18th birthday. She was coming home from the store, her friends and family waiting to surprise her at home, when she was grabbed from behind and bludgeoned to death against a brick wall. She never even saw her attacker. She woke up in the afterlife as a demon — to everyone's surprise.
