Before the fateful night that changed him forever, Degare was but an average, normal Elsen working in Zone 1. Or so was thought; on the outside, one would see it that way, but if anyone knew what the Elsen's mentality looked like, he'd be put away for a long time.

The elsen's mind was plagued by violent, gruesome intrusive thoughts; detailed, unique methods of torture and homicide burned deep into his mind by some unknown force, whether it's been inside or outside of his brain. His exterior was stone, but the degradation of his mind only intensified.

Day by day, more wicked and cruel plans were implanted in the poor thing's process, and more often than not he'd start finding himself subconsciously ceasing his work in favor of reaching out for potential weapons, stocking fellow employees.

Not long a time transpired before he finally snapped, pursuing a coworker home one night and finally enacting one of the many awful treacheries he'd accidentally concocted.

After wounding and killing off his companion, the urge to fear upon his kill arose, and with the adrenaline pumping through his veins, he hadn't had a second thought about it.

As he consumed, his body underwent a painful transformation. Flesh twisted or fell off, bone grew and cracked and shaped, the shadowy substance that originally subsided within the Elsen seeped out, drenching his arms and trekking up his newly-shaped skull to form stiff antlers.

Passerby Elsens caught sight of the scene and fell into a panic, word of the cannibalistic act spreading quickly and calling for the dispatch of Dedan's pretentious knight, Marrok.

When he arrived, it was destiny. Degare was far too engorged in his meal to care for the canine who was meant to bring him to his end, only paying mind when he was finished with the remains of the victim, turning to find Marrok and letting instinct kick in immediately.

What should have been a face off turned into Degare being led off to some remote location by the knight, and from there on over the course of many weeks, he was conditioned, tamed, brought out of his wild nature and growing loyal to Marrok, who gave him his new name, 'Degare'.

He now stands obediently at the side of the knight, following suit to him and happily trotting along wherever his 'master' went.
