Personality

Lihnaljin is the textbook definition of what having a god-complex means. Haughty and smug, they absolutely love flair and pizazz and wouldn't be caught dead in something plain. With a mental state so split and shattered, their mood ranges from violently furious to sarcastic, quiet, or cheerful. That being said, as a male he is certainly louder and with less shame, as a female she tends to be more reserved. They seek respect and idolization from others, going to extreme lengths in order to obtain said ‘worship’. Seeing anything without power as only weak and useless, they struggle to appreciate life for what it is, rather seeing people as pawns to be used for entertainment.

Abilities

As the first ever demon/angel hybrid to exist, Lihnaljin’s power extends far beyond what is fair or controllable. This power cumulates into the ability to do just about anything with their thoughts, creating things out of thin air as they want. They can cross between the Boundary and the dimensions, without even knowing that they could in fact, a thing considered impossible due to the fact that physical forms can’t exist outside of reality. Their power is so great that it near gained sentience on its own, driving Lihnaljin insane from the countless quadrillions of years spent alone with it.

Backstory

Lihnaljin was born very, very long ago in a time where only two dimensions existed; the Underworld and the Overworld. As the offspring of the first angel and demon to exist, they grew immense power with each passing day, their parents loved them with every fiber of their beings yet…with time they soon came to realise their child was filled pure hatred and rage. The sheer amount of power condensed into one form was too much for any mind to handle, and over the years it slowly wore away at their sanity.

They started to ‘hear’ this power, it spoke of the Nothingness, this apparent being that created them all in the first place. This being wanted them all to return to nonexistence. Lihnaljin began killing their own people here and there until getting caught, where a huge battle broke out between their immense monstrosity of power and the rest of the angels and demons. After a long drawn-out struggle and countless deaths, they were finally defeated, body scattering like ash into the worlds and poisoning the corpses of those killed. This ended up creating a new ‘species’ later called monsters. This event led to the first angel and demon fading away, broken with shame, guilt, and pain. Alongside this, the soul of every demon and angel henceforth would have a shattered soul, barring them from entering the Heavenly dimension upon death like humans can.

However, Lihnaljin hadn’t truly been killed. Instead, with a subconscious inability to kill their own child, the first angel and demon had banished them to the Boundary, a place yet not a place, the outside of reality itself. No physical forms existed here truly, and time appeared to move at random. An unfathomable amount of time passed before they could regain their sense of self and start to navigate this impossible ‘world’. The Nothingness was their only company, constantly telling them to accumulate power and destroy everything back to nonexistence. With enough time, Lihnaljin became dependent on this voice, following everything it said no matter how random or strange.

At some point they were disturbed by the creation of another ‘thing’ that grew from the Boundary, but left it to its own devices after hearing it speak of the world inside reality; apparently it was angry at some angel and demon and was going to ruin their lives and bring chaos, which Lihnaljin liked a lot so they even gave it some tips. Although that thing stayed a while and eventually suddenly disappeared, Lihnaljin became more and more fascinated with the thought of going back to reality and destroying everything, thinking surely it must be time. They were also perhaps extremely lonely so they created a bunch of worker blob-like monsters to keep them company, even if just puppets. With that terrible voice in their head, they started to use these monsters to attempt breaking into reality, eventually succeeding.

This brought upon war once more, billions of creatures battling angels, demons, and even human wielders who the situation was revealed to. Devouring souls left right and center, they suddenly felt all of demon and angel kind being wiped out, and thus personally broke through the Boundary walls to revel in victory. This would lead to their downfall, as with time manipulation and a touch of trickery, it had been an elaborate set up that resulted in them getting injured badly enough to require being sent back out of reality, much to their frustration and anger.

Having a bit of excess power reserved, they use it to drag in that meddlesome bunch of humans that started this whole mess, ready to yell at them for messing things up when they strike a deal. If everything is destroyed, who will be left to worship such an almighty being such as them? This logic, clashing with the Nothingness’ demands, caused great confusion within Lihnaljin, particularly when these mortals refused to fear them. Perhaps, just perhaps they should humour these humans, just a little bit…yes, they are just biding their time to take over the worlds surely, what harm could playing around do?

  • Lihnaljin doesn't prefer one body or the other, it depends on their mood
  • They often get annoyed by the size of their wings and usually just morph them away
  • The smell of alcohol is enough to get them completely drunk
  • Their original form is actually a lot more monstrous and ill-defined, however they changed their current ones after seeing pictures of fictional people of power and getting inspired by the flashy designs
