Katsune is a girl of sad origin that lives in a castle in a quiet countryside. She would be considered wealthy for this worlds standards the world in which she is from was war ridden and she was a royal. Her friend who was a budding mage, discovered a spell that could transport them to another world. One that would be like their's but without war or strife. They made a plan to provide all peacefull nations mages with the spell so that as many people as possible could make it to this new world. As the day came for them to enact the spell in her kingdom, their enemies raided. They had found out about the plan from her brother, he was a traitor and didn't want to leave this world as he would likely not be able to gaurentee rule in another. A fight ensued and though her brother was bested, it was not before their enemies had arrived. Seeking to protect those she loved Katsune urged her family and others throught the portal first and with her friend they held off the fighters as long as they could and made a run for the portal as it was closing hand in hand, as they neared the portal her fallen brother grabbed hold of her leg and they were being pulled apart as her friend was being sucked into the portal, fearing the worst she simply smiled and vowed she would find them again. She released their hand and like that they were gone. It took her ages to find a way to recreate the magic as those that remained destroyed the spells and the knowledge was lost. However now she has done it, she has traveled to this world and lands upon the grounds of a great castle bearing her family crest. As she looks around from this peak she can see this world looks VERY different, metal machines move in the distance carrying all manner of odd creatures. Traveling along the old withered looking paths she finds herself at a old little village. The people see her and are confused and concerned at her appearance, it wasn't until a few older people saw her and stopped her in the street. They asked if she was from a place long lost in name and forgotten, tears welled in her eyes and they took her to a quiet place. The elders of this village had known of her people and the times in which they had arrived in past they told her of the new world and asked of her family name to see if they could find her's should any be left. This was their task all these years to help any remaining that were able to make their way reunite with their loved ones, upon learning her name and bearing a crest to show them they held a somber expression. The castle of her arrival was their home and had long been known to be baren, the people of that home vanished after years of no new arrivals and left to undisclosed locations. She didn't know where to turn but those of the village said the home was once her families and should be her. So that is where she has remained the last 20 years, much has changed since her arrival. She has learned more of this world and even began attending a local univeristy where she has made a few friends, she still holds hope that one day her family may find her, their kind live very long compared to those of this world so she has no doubt they do indeed still live. She practices modern day alchemy and uses her magic for more dire situations. She aids those near and those that travel far with potions, cures for curses, requests for knowledge, and more.
