Budding Life

Born into a kind family from Mondstad he was cherished by his parents as their first born. At the age of four his small town was ravaged, his parents were slain and he was stolen along with other children by strange men in masks. 

Vision

"The flowing water...I wish I could follow it to the outside."

Bound to his cellar, the quiet mumblings of the other prisoners echoing in the dark, Mao's longing gaze stayed locked on the small man made river structure within their room that continuously flowed in and out of their hell, bars preventing any escape through the opening for the water. As his heart grew heavy with longing a light broke through his sight that turned out to be the light of a hydro vision. 

As much as he wished the vision aided him in his escape it did not. It only urged his captors to run further tests on him as they saw him and his new vision as a new test subject. 

New Horizons

Gathering the prisoners the captors lead Mao and the others into cages loaded on carts, chains bounding their hands and feet. It was during this normal routine of moving location that they came across trouble. Attacked by especially malevolent hilichurls the group of abductors tried their best to defend themselves against their attackers but were failing. It was then that a young looking man in a black masked appeared, polearm at hand and a strong aura surrounding him. 

The individual dispatched of the hilichurls swiftly and, upon turning to leave laid eyes on the carts of chained people and chose to do something to help for evil did not just plague hilichurls. 

Mao and the others were freed that day and to Mao this individual that freed them, their savior, shone brighter than anything he had seen.
