Profile

Personality: A loose cannon. He has anger management issues and is very violent and explosive. He only erupts when someone antagonises him, or implies ill will. It's extremely easy to make him lose his cool. In that regard, he is quite easy to manipulate and bait a reaction from. He can cool down before he gets angry if he doesn't find anything to be angry about, or if something that triggered him was a mere understanding. As a result of all this, he has not been able to maintain any friendships, or any kind of relationship for that matter. In spite of this, he wishes for a meaningful relationship with at least one person.

Backstory: Tristan grew up in an abusive household. His father and mother were wed through a forced marriage. His father was an abusive tyrant and and regularly beat his wife, who dared not defend herself. Tristan was also a subject of his abuse but his mother always diverted the attention away from him. He was always told to keep himself hidden when his father was home. If his father saw him, there was a chance he would try and hit him, and his mother would intervene. His mother would take her frustration out on him when this happened, but always refrained from laying a hand on him. At 10 years old, Tristan defended himself from one of his father's blows. A switch flipped in him and he began throwing punch after punch at his father. His mother wanted to pull him away but Tristan terrified her. She could only call the police and ambulance. Tristan was still beating in his father's face when the authorities arrived and pulled him off the man.

Tristan was put in a boys' home shortly after. He was able to learn that his family's situation was brought to light from the incident, and assumed that his mother was able to be free from her daily torment. In the boys' home, he became increasingly problematic with every passing day due to his disposition. He was regularly punished and singled out for rehabilitation, which only ever fueled his rage. It didn't help that most of the boys there were always itching for a brawl. Eventually, they realized that Tristan did not "fight to socialise" like they did, and he was isolated from everyone. With nothing bothering him, Tristan became dormant.
At 14, Tristan was given to an orphanage because his family was uncontactable, or so they told him. At the orphanage, he started to act up again and the management put him in secluded confinement. After a year, a family showed up at the orphanage, asking to meet him by name. It was then that he met a boy. Tristan found himself the most calm he had ever felt in a long time as the boy approached him.

Tristan noticed that every other person in the room was deathly silent and watching them intently. Something like that was enough to set off Tristan, usually at least. He wanted to punch in every last one of the adults sitting around them, but he was surprisingly unable to lift his fist like usual. Everyone was still staring at him, the new boy included, and his strange behaviour was all but freaking him out. He finally broke the silence by asking for an explanation to the situation. He got no answer. He turned to the boy and directed his questions at him instead. Again, no reply. He was getting angrier again but it seemed like the feeling slipped right through his skin as fast as it was building up. Several minutes later, the adults stood up and left, taking the boy with them. Tristan was placed back into confinement, where he pondered over the odd events that happened earlier that day, but came to no final thought. A week later, they returned. It started out exactly the same. But this time, the boy spoke to him. It was a simple, breathy greeting. Tristan stared at him before returning the greeting. The boy introduced himself as Finnian, and again Tristan made an equivalent reply.  They conversed until Tristan noticed something out of the corner of his eye. Everyone else in the room was unconcious. He started to freak out, but Finnian assured him that it was nothing unusual. Tristan questioned that aloud and tried to get an explanation out of Finnian, but the boy only put a finger up to his lips, then let his arm fall. It seemed like that simple motion was exhausting for him, Tristan noted. Still perplexed, he approached one of the adults and shook them vigorously, causing them to wake up. Suddenly, everyone became waking up at once, as though there was some trigger. He looked over to Finnian and saw that he was no longer anywhere in the room.

Shortly after, he was caught in a whirlwind of adults and paperwork. All that he was able to catch from their vague and hurried explanations was that he was being adopted. When everything was apparently in order, he was marched out of the orphanage doors and handed over to people who definitely did not work there. The only thing keeping his anger at bay was his utter confusion.

He found himself being driven in silence, only able to wonder what was happening. His thoughts were especially preoccupied with that Finnian boy. Eventually, the car pulled up in front of an estate (i havent decded what it will look like). Inside, he was led to a room that held Finnian and another adult. Everything that happeend was explained to him there and he lived his new life under the name of Saintan alongside Finnian Saintan.
